Fostering and Adopting dogs/cats in need of homes
« on: February 28, 2012, 10:25:41 AM »
I am becoming a foster mom to a beautiful 10 week old pitbull female puppy! I get to pick her up on Friday or Saturday. She was one of 5 that was in a South Carolina animal shelter and about to be put down. The animal rescue Waggs and Wishes out of Michigan drove down and are picking them up along with other dogs to bring back to Michigan to their awaiting foster homes. I do not know how long I will have her, I have a named picked out for her also, I mean, I have Stuka and Tank so why not have a Tiffy!!! Yep, that is going to be her new name! I do not know if any of yall would be interested in fostering or adopting any dogs, but I am on facebook if anyone would like to send me a friend request and maybe yall could also help foster or adopt too. I may not be able to save every dog or cat in this world that is in need of a home but I surely can do it one at a time! I will post pics of Tiffy after I get her home and get her settled in! Stuka and Tank are gonna be so happy about having a foster sister!!!

Tiffy is a great name for a dog. Good luck with her. I'm not adopting anymore animals because the ratio in my home 1:1 pets v humans (which is way too many given a 5 person family imo), and I refuse to be outnumbered by quadrupeds.

Anyone want a ring neck dove named Marshmallow ?

We are past the 1 to 1 ratio, but it's an honorable thing you are doing Betty,  :salute

Awesome Betty!

We just got another one two weeks ago also, a beagle my son named Lucy Lu! So we're up to 4 doggies now, and 9 cats... all rescues from the local shelter (except one of the cats was a stray that we took in).

I haven't thought of a name for my German Shepard yet, doh I guess I need to sit down and think hard  I wouldn't want to name him something silly like Blue Ivy.
