I believe that there should be a few new airplanes in the game: He 111 h5 and 6, SB2C, PBY, A6M2 N, SM 79 and the Ju 52. I think there should also be a PaK 40 and a M1 105mm howitzer. Also, when you hit any ground vehicle, there should be dents and gouges in the armour from the shell impacts. And when you fly at night, you  should be able to see the exhaust  flames coming out the exhaust pipes.

Don't bother with the new planes, there's already a waiting list. It starts in Southeast Asia, winds down into the Mariana trench, turns around and heads up into the Himalayas, then does a circuit of the world, hitting the Alps, the Atlantic deeps, and the Rockies before returning to Indonesia's Krakatoa.

I like the dents idea, never thought of that one before.

I recall reading something about how a group of SBD's were heading back to their carrier when night started to hit.  Eventually, they were only able to stick together because they could see each other's exhaust flames and made it safely back.   I believe this happened around 1942?  I may be thinking about much later in the war though.   And we DO have night, just not in the MA's.  I think the AvA team runs night time scenarios once in a while.

   Thats alot to chew on for your 1st post but you left out a few things. What about clouds of dust as the Armor is approaching,smoke at captured towns, and Nurses in the O'club.

I read that some planes where almost unflyable at night because of the blinding flashes of light from the exhaust flames. Aside from hiding the flames from enemy eyes this was another reason exhaust flash hiders where installed on many planes.

Spitfires operated at night without exhaust flares being a problem.  Undampered Mossies, such as the B.Mk XVI in AH, also operated at night without issues.

Reread what you quoted.  I said undampered Mossies, i.e. Mosquitos such as the B.Mk XVI that did not have flame dampening equipment.

The only blinding glare for Mossies operating at night was from the unshielded quad of .303s on the early F.Mk IIs.

To my post that we should see gouges and dents in the armour for shell impacts: There are many pictures on google images of king tigers with gouges the size of coconuts where a sherman's 75mm shells actually glanced off the 5 inch. armour. They were at least 2-3 inches deep into the 7 in. armour of the king tiger ( it was actualy 5 in. thick, but with the 40 degree slope, it was 7 in.).
