It worked for me, but maybe they don't give you too much in the higher classes.  Check your GPA and see if it went down; it may have taken the hit for you doing the same amount of work.  I'm not saying you're lazy, just that you didn't notice.  :headscratch: On the other hand, pointless and boring?  Everything?  Science, Math, English, History, Foreign Language?  Dang.  That's rough.    :( See if you can join a theater group or robotics team- they're everywhere and will gladly take you. :)  I don't mean to toot my school's horn, but my History and English teachers are some of the best that I've ever had, so your results may vary.

With the pain question clarified by penguin.

1. active volcano skinny dipping
2. Try out some of that squirrel suit NOE flying
3. figure out a way into low earth orbit, then enjoy re-entry.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

Robotics never happened this year  :cry

Edit:I actually formed the first robotics club at my middle school in 7th grade, but we never had funding and the teacher co running it expected me to know how to do absolutely everything right off the bat

Ive never even taken a regular course. Im technically "gifted" and my GPA is around 4.3 to 4.4. I am captain of my schools JV soccer team, a member of NHS, and I will be joining a swim team at my school (if it starts).
BTW on my first AP exam i got a high 4 without even studying.
Still pointless and boring. Some of my teachers are fun though but I still ask myself why I go to school everymorning and the only answer I get is "cuz i have to".

Erm, don't take this the wrong way but 'gifted' how, exactly?  A high IQ, or something else (e.g., the Rain Man)?  Don't let that feeling of meaninglessness keep you down, though.  I can see that easily snowballing into something nasty.  Definitely find something that will push your mind to its limits- write a book or try a college math course on for size.  Whatever it is, don't leave capacity like that lying around.  If you get used to breezing by you will very likely 'forget' about what you can do when you push yourself to your limit.  That really happened to me- I could breeze my way through school all the way through freshman year of high school, and now all of a sudden I have to develop fifteen years of work ethic in only two.  With regard to school, you go because no matter how smart you are, you still have to hear 'y=mx+b' and such at least once; it also provides you with a place to develop socially.  So it's kinda like eating a balanced diet- if you only eat doughnuts you're going to end up malnourished sooner or later.

Gifted means I have a High IQ, better memory retention, (then the average bear), faster brain processing, and other such things. In short I never study anything because I (personally) can read a book once and remember everything I need (other gifted students I know study alot but exhibit other characteristics). Photographic memory helps.

Im taking all college classes next year. Would have this year but the state changed the age you have to be for dual enrollment from 15 to 16 aka you have to be a junior instead of a sophmore.

OK, I underestimated what you meant by gifted by a broad margin. :O  We need people like you in high places.

Wow. Canadians must all be stupid then :lol with us, being labeled as "gifted" just means we go about everything at a different angle than most others.

Photographic memory? That's awesome.

Photographic memory is an awesome ability to have, I have it and don't even have to directly look at something to get a whole image and remember it a week later, now if only it could help me in finding my tv remote, I lost it 2 months ago

If you really feel that way try going up a level (i.e., CP1 to Honors or Honors to AP).  You'll feel as though a weight has been lifted onto your shoulders.

-Penguin
Oh please... you think Honors are always better than CP or AP better than honors?

I took Calc through the university of Pittsburgh in 12th grade. It was a highschool class but you could get the college credits as well. It was a joke of a class, for the first couple of weeks, we literally just did like 6th grade math puzzles which had some sort of saying at the end... We were treated like kindergardeners. We had a movie day once a month in which we were given snacks and watched a math movie...

An AP, CP, Honors class is only as hard as the teacher is... My 10th grade CP English was easier than the 10th grade basic English from a curriculum standpoint with the same teacher teaching both...
