2. Washington-Dulles International Airport (DC/N VA) <---- large airport, but i travleing from the main entrance to the gates is reliteivly simple
3. Salt Lake City International Airport (Utah) <----- easy to find gates.

I'm most comfortable at the St Louis airport simply because I have been through it hundreds of times over the years.

The only airport that I try to avoid is O'Hare.

Jackson, WY
St Maarten, Netherlands Antilles
Regan National, Washington DC

There's no shortage of view going into Jackson.  Simply beautiful.

St Maarten is pretty cool and tying one on at the Sunset Beach Bar is entertaining with the mix of airplanes coming and going.

Hand flying the River Visual approach into DCA with a strong west wind and rolling out right on the money is one of the precious true stick and rudder moments you have in airliners. Circling to 33 when landing north is fun as well.

EGPF (Glasgow) It's small, but not tiny
CYVR (Vancouver) it's SO clean. air is SO nice. And it's right by the ocean :)

I've been through Denver many times, it's nothing special but simple and easy.

I've been to DFW a time or two, and always had fun riding their tram/train thing, but maybe that's because I grew up in the country.  :)

Kansas City is an interesting design.  Its the closest Intl airport to me so I've never had to switch gates or planes there but you will probably have to leave security to just get to another gate or get anything to eat.

Folks, play nice.

1) Apple Valley .. near Victorville, CA.
Where I solo'd and had the most fun with my clothes on learning to fly.

2) Porterville ..Moonlight Fly In was da bomb.
Where I used Earl's techniques to place second in my first ever flour bombing contest.
Earl flew P-39's and P-47's in WW2, developed a technique to drop bombs that took out the cave-dwelling guns the Germans used in Italy
..it works so well I actually dropped my lil flour bomb right on the judge's chair
..he had set it up right on the bulls eye figuring no one would get close enough
.. ROFL
.. seein him scramble out of it just before the paper bag exploded all over him was *priceless*

Reason I placed second .. used my first bomb to 'calibrate' the grease pencil marks on my side window, didn't get anywhere near the bullseye :)
Had at least a dozen people come up after we landed askin how the heck I did it.

3) Stead, near Reno.
Air Racing. Hearin/feelin the air rumble as they pass over the grandstands goin to full throttle on the dive to the starting line ..
..just an awesome airplane day.

Good times.

Augusta State Airport where I first solo'd, and now hangar fly.

Bangor International which is about 50 miles NW of Augusta, because it was constructed as an emergency runway for the space shuttles, so naturally it's huge. Now, KC-135s and various other large military aircraft are stationed there, so it's always cool to be flying alongside them (when I say along side, I mean at least 6 miles away  :bolt:).

Another cool one is Knox Regional in Rockland, Maine. It's located on the coast, and is a truly beautiful part of the state. In the summer time, it's littered with private jets, and if you're lucky, you can catch a glimpse of John Travolta headed out to his summer home on Islesboro (a small island with a 2,400 long/50 wide runway too small for his jet). There's also a transportation museum based there, so there's bi-planes buzzing around regularly.

1. Gastons White River Resort - Really cool grass runway with a restaurant on field, and cabins you can rent. You can also rent a boat and go fishing.

2. salamanderett-Grooms field (6Y9) - Another really cool grass runway on the UP of Michigan (Gods country)

3. Boerne Stage Field - Soloed here and now tow gliders and waste alot of time.

Cool, didn't know you were towing gliders.

I got checked out at the end of the season last year, now I need to do another 3 tows with the head towpilot and I'll be good to go again. Weather hasnt been very cooperative lately.

Denver

Salt Lake City

Chicago Midway

I liked the look of Orlando, but getting around sucked.

CLE is nice, clean and quite easy as well as offering a nice view of the lakes on take-off/landing, but since it's my hometown 'port I didn't include it.

Very neat. After you're airborn and assuming the glider pilot is flying properly, can you even tell it's there?

1.) St Maarten is amazing, runway is 30 feet from the beach, such a cool sight seeing massive jets coming and going.
2.) Orlando was nice but agree with Dragon, annoying to get around.
3.) Denver's airport is pretty nice.

Cleveland wasn't too bad besides flying on an airline where half of the gates were in terminal 4 where you had to go underground to get to it. I spent 13 hours there on my way to California due to a missed connection and a 5 hour layover on the way back. Needless to say I know terminal 3 and 4 by heart now.

JFK is too bunched up as is O Hare and LAX...though landing at night into LAX was stunning with all of the lights. Don't get to see that up here in Upstate NY.

Phoenix was nice to take pictures from in the parking garages since planes were taking off/landing on both sides of you.

Never got to really look around Dallas/Ft Worth.

Geez, just thinking about all of the airports I've visited is unreal and that's not even half of them. That would be my top 3 list, but it kind of depends since the question is vague. Scenery, cleanliness, space, etc.
