Denver Finally gets a quality QB...
« on: March 19, 2012, 05:25:58 PM »
Picked Up Payton... Now they have someone of some quality...

Now they might not choke again when they get into the play offs. And when they win, its because they were better than the other team and not just luckier...

They better have a darn good offensive line. Peyton is kinda fragile and a hard hit that hurts his neck could leave him paralyzed. I don't wish that on him at all. I kind of like the guy as a player. He is weak from the injury yet and getting old for the sport. I wish him well.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Denver has one of the best O-lines in the league.  I truly think that if there was any more risk to Manning versus any other QB his age, he wouldn't attempt to play.

I'm a Bronco fan, so I'm a bit biased...  Pairing Manning with a good receiving corps, a top notch running game, and an up and coming defense (Miller, Dumerville, Bailey, Ayers)...  Denver will be a tough team this year.  Looking at their schedule, they'll have to be.

EDIT:  GO BRONCOS!!!!

I've always been a Manning fan.  I just hope he doesn't hold on too long.  Not a big Denver fan but it wouldn't bother me a bit if they managed to get him another ring.

By choke, do you mean something similar to giving up an 80 yard touchdown on the first play of overtime in a wildcard playoff game? Because that would be choking horribly, especially if you were the favored team.  :rofl

I am just trying to be clear on the definition of choking.  :D

Seriously though, they used to have quite a good quarterback, and with a whole lot of work, Tebow might have been similar to Elway. He surely was exciting to watch. Long term Denver made a mistake, and I am a big fan of the Mannings. I just think both Indy and Denver looked at the short term gain and lost a long term goal.

EDIT:  GO BRONCOS!!!!

They demoted from good when they sent off lloyd. The correct way of saying that is a less then average recieving corp, top notch defense and an up and coming running game. He will regret his decision. Mile high, cold, no weapons. They do have a great Oline so he has that going for him. Should of went to san fran. Would have won superbowls every year in san fran.

EDIT: GO BENGALS!!!!

EDIT 2: Could you imagine Manning with Randy Moss, Vernon Davis, Mario Manningham and Frank Gore? Wouldn't have been fair i guess.

A tweet they read on the Denver morning news that I thought I'd repeat here....

"Tim Tebow prayed every night and every day for the Broncos to win the next super bowl, so God sent Peyton Manning."

lol nope, like thinking you were good and getting the crap kicked out of you 45-10.

As for the pass to win against us, I only have to say one thing, and that is one person got burnt and allowed the TD, unlike the entire team which failed to do anything against the Pats.

As a Pats fan I can say that though so many people believe Welker let them down, including him, it is a team and like the Steelers, if the entire team had not let it get so close, one mistake would not have lost the game. You win as a team you lose as a team you play as a team, period.

LOL... A win is a win. So true. Kind of like that AFC Title game tying kick from Cundiff? Oh wait... :lol

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
