100 Years From 2012
« on: March 25, 2012, 08:43:03 AM »
What will the world be like?

I have my thoughts that border on the global dooms from overpopulation, shrinkage of fossil fuels, crashing of food supply, flashpoints of global warfare, and other mother nature calamities.  Using the premise that everything works out like a happy ending, what would the world be like?

I think that the citizens of Earth will live in solar powered homes and commute in electric buses, trains, and cabs.  Medicine will enable humans to live to at least 100 years and many to longer lives.  A new homesteader explosion will erupt underwater on the shallow contintental shelf bordering the each country's shoreline.  The Moon and Mars will be home to humans.

Those are the basic ones.  What else will be done?
Chuck Norris can pick oranges from an apple tree and make the best lemonade in the world. Every morning when you wake up, swallow a live toad. Nothing worse can happen to you for the rest of the day. They say money can't buy happiness. I would like the opportunity to find out. Why be serious?

I think we will have moved well beyond solar at that point. Fusion reactors, hydrogen fuel cells etc. Other than that I don't think things will be much different. I doubt we'l have some Roddenberryesque utopia,  nor do I believe we'll be living like Mad Max.

I'd hate to think about the world in another 100 years. I'm sure it'd be a place I wouldn't want to be. Glad I won't be around to see it.

The same-ol-chit will be going on socially (yeah, the BS of "everyone [insert current political/racial/socioeconomic PC-BS] is a victim" and those people who earn a good and honest living will be the bad guys), there will be many more electric cars; much more power generated by solar and wind farms; open borders (except in China and Switzerland, they'll be the smart ones); etc etc.

We have first contact with hostile aliens whilst colonising / mining / pillaging asteroids and planets all the way to the Milky centre.

Milk runs will consist of vast transports  and  fighter pilots will be needed once again to blast the evil vermin from the sky!!

ok maybe 1000 years on.....

not sure the actual timeline...100 years 150 or even 50 years.....

first There will be one world power...one monetary system.

they are going to cure all diseases and allow mankind to live as long as they want....they will not get rid of death completely, as in you will still be able to die from a car wreck..falling... those type of deaths.

they are going to "prove" GOD does not exist...

they are going to make every single person alive take a microchip inserted into them....so they know who you are, to get the new medical technology....

the whole world will be enslaved to very few...

and then the end will come.

Nothing much will have changed. Sure, technology can change in massive leaps in a very short time but in terms of the human mindset 100 years is nothing.

come on bat look at the things mankind has done in 1 century,  surely with computer processing, new technologies will only speed up the process of new discoveries in every field of science?

If we can lay off Killing each other and the greed I think we could go very far.
