Oh god a gun!  How could you bring yourself to buy a killing machine.  Remember guns kill people, people don't kill people.

I've noticed a lot of guys in here posting pics with tactical (more or less... shortish barrel, long magazine) shotguns.

What do you use them for?

The only thing they seem to me to be the best tool for the job for is being quick to hand if you're expecting to be home invaded.  Not to say that's not a fine use for a shotgun, but I'm just curious if there's something I'm missing about them?

I bought it honestly so it could sit in my room and I could look at it and take it shooting every once in a while. I doubt I'll ever take it hunting (maybe hog hunting? but even then I don't wanna get that close to a hog!) And like you said its probably more or less useless for hunting

Short shotguns are perfect for shooting partridge out the truck window.

Not that I would do that.  :uhoh

1plus44-  Wasn't saying there was anything wrong with it.  Heck, if the only reasons for having guns were 'practical' we wouldn't have near as many of them. ;)

Melvin- Ahh...  I keep forgetting people hunt birds that are smaller than geese.

Looks nice.  Going to hunt with it or getting it for targets?

When has such a sentiment ever been posted on these forums?  You like strawmen that much?

Im an Australian.

The virtues of blasting wildlife with extreme firepower, while illegal in this country, is an activity which we thoroughly enjoy on a regular basis.

So no complaints from me besides WHEN ARE YOU GETTING BACK IN GAME PLUS!
