Cystoscopy
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:25:35 AM »
Well, today I go for my twice a year Cystoscopy. I was diagnosed with
Transitional Cell Carcinoma (Cancer) of the Bladder in August 07.
Had tumors removed, and luckily so far nothing has returned.
I used to have it done every 3 months, and it's no fun.
I was lucky, I went to see Dr first time I urinated purple.
For those that don't know what a Cysto is. Look at photo on right.
That's what I get stuck in my urethra, and pushed in all the way to Bladder.

Yeah, that thing goes in my wee-wee

Good luck. I hope you continue to be in remission.

Had that done a year ago.  Results were excellent so my next one isn't for 4 more years.  Not fun but better than not catching a problem early.

Some of the stuff the Docs do should probably be prohibited under the Geneva Convention.

Here's hoping the test is negative.

My leukemia in remission since '92....one of the fun little things was laying there while the doc drilled a hole in my sternum to aspirate some marrow for testing.

glad to hear that.  My mother had cancer several years back , did radiation and doc overdosed it, ended up breaking her jaw eating crunchy cheetohs, now she is left with a FUBAR mess.
