F22Raptor I watched your replay and I noticed you line up a tank for like 3 seconds THEN zoom in to fire..

I think you will have alot more success if you quick snap to a target and immediately zoom all the way in and target a weakspot while the reticle is shrinking

THEN fire.

My aiming styles vary on what role I play on the team, on what tank i'm driving, i'm more likely to be patient in my Tiger, and my Type 59 I never zoom in unless its a long range shot cause I prefer getting up with the heavies and circling them attempting to shoot the weak spots. My Sturn panzer II I find I shoot kill easier when the target is close enough to not have to zoom in, I get more kills that way  :lol I'm kinda of all over the place, but in the other 2 video's I shot you can see how I vary in how I shoot and aim, i'll upload those when I have a spare 2 hours each

Did they ever fix the spotting/invisible tanks?

That's how the game is. If you stop and you have cammo on then you become invisible.  Stupid as hell.

I love people who whine about the invisible tank thing. When they disappear - you can still kill them.

EDIT: - If they are still invisible, they more than likely have not moved. Moving your treads breaks your camo, thus making you visible so long as they are within your tanks view range.

The reason they go invisible and all you die-hard AH GV'rs don't understand it is this: The maps are too damned small to have the tanks visible all the time. No one would be able to play without getting sniped right off the bat.

EDIT 2: Not to mention you'd be able to see what the enemy was doing on your mini-map without having to at least TRY and figure out what their plan of attack is.

In Aces High the maps are HUGE and you can go to whatever distance you please so long as your PC can render far enough. On WoT the maps are only 1000m (I believe?) which would make playing anything but German tanks pointless (seeing as how they tend to have the most accurate guns in the game).

I GV in AH every now and then and I enjoy it but I enjoy WoT more because it's faster paced. Oh and I don't get spawn camped - which is what WoT would be if you could see everyone all the time. You want something like that? Go play Iron Front. ;)

If you complain about the "invisible tanks" - you don't know how the camo system works.

They have been working on physics. Did you not see the 1 year anniversary video? You see game play footage (With a bug I might add) of it in action. Physics isn't something you do overnight. It required that they completely overhaul every single map and every spot on that map where your tank would get stuck. They also have to implement ways to punish players who think it would be cool to go into the middle of a lake and start firing. (AKA the 4 second flood engine they added).

Physics WILL be here this year. Will it be the next patch? No. Unless they're ninja applying it.

They said it will be tested publicly on the test server, then within 3 weeks it should hit the main server.

I must be the only person who understands building a game doesn't happen over night. Just like the folks who got all  :furious :furious :furious about Iron Front being buggy on the first day of release.

Like, ya know, when that thing that makes you move, it has pistons and things, When your thingamajigy is providing power, you do not hear other peoples thingamajig when they are providing power.

Best explanation i've heard yet! Which brings me back to remembering I have killed a decent amount of tanks while they were invisible, since I don't use auto aim I can keep my sight on the area and fire away at it.

Didn't get a video of this but I was able to half submerge my Sherman last night on one of the swamp maps, backed into it and turned into Titanic very quicky, if they allow people to drive into lakes and water i'm sure as heck gonna be one to drive an ms1 into it  :rofl

Close range no camo seems to work in Red Orchestra. Wanna know why WoT gameplay suck? Because whoever has the biggest baddest tank wins, tactics doesn't work in that game besides just having your entire team push in one big wave and wipe out everything. Anyone who doesn't stick with the team basically gets picked off by arty and die.

Red Orchestra does it perfectly IMO. No minimap, large open maps with some land marks to find your way. All they need to change if they add more tanks is to add icons so you tell friend from foe (it's currently just Pnz4 vs T34-76).

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Your honor I call bs on that statement!

I've killed a kv5 once when he was at 100% health in my type by circling around and avoiding his gun, I don't usually stick with the main group but with a friend so one of us can draw his attention and the other can flank, when i'm by myself I pick out the tanks that have slow turret rotation and transverse speed and circle them providing they are out in the open. If its a tier 6 or lower I will just charge it full speed guns blaring regardless of if its a td, heavy, arty. Also I learned where the ammo racks are in some of the tanks, I know where all of them are in the IS's, and with a premium round up close I can almost guarantee a ammo rack detonation

It's his fault that he didn't kill you first. That's not tactics (because what else were you going to do?), that's the other guy sucking.

Its a tactic, or if I have a fast tank i'll make it fire and miss me then charge around.

Or if i'm going against an Amx I try to make it waste its 6 shots then jump it while it reloads

Absolute crap.

I play RO, RO2 and WoT.

Tanking works fine in RO because the maps again - are HUGE.

RO2: There is 1 tank per map. -_-  (With the exception of Gumrak which is tanks only but even that map is over 1000 meters.)
RO2 is also meant to be realistic. WoT is arcade.

WoT - biggest tank always win? Then I should never lose a battle in my E-100 or T110 right? I should come out on top every single time according to your statement.

If you're in a medium and you try to go head to head with a heavy - you deserve to lose. Even in real combat you wouldn't do that. You'd "flank n spank".

If you're too lazy to flank, you don't deserve a win. Idk, must me that AH GV Spawn camp mentality going on.

Wot is 75% individual and 25% team.

It's one game where you can actually look at someones stats and immediately tell if they are bad average or good.  How they play...camp..snipe..scout...s uicide scout...play arty...are aggressive.

I play aggressively and playing that way usually means i'm taking out 7 of 15 tanks at least or damaging them to where a friendly can finish them.

People who are in the 50% win rate and under usually have a decent understanding of the game but no clue how to MAKE a win happen.

The camo system can be annoying..lots of thing's in the game are...but I enjoy it...especially when platooned with people like Scott12b

I must have been in a glitched server, cause when I joined I didn't see a single team mate, enemy was too, everyone was complaining and since we couldn't see anyone we just ran around crashing into invisible tanks until the 15 mins was up, weirdest thing ever
