Ahhh Blood Red Skies, you've got another thing coming, Free Wheel Burning - Turbo (when rob solo'd the scream and not a guitar riff).

I always thought it was a Guitar screaming and it was Rob himself, he stops around 1991, but in the 87' live he does scream over the guitar riff.

1987? Turbo era, horrible hair, horrible guitar synths, and horrible women in that concert vid as well  :bolt:

better watch the 1982 live in Memphis concert version: http://www.moviesfoundonline.com/judas_priest_live_in_memphis.php (full concert, with a great Riding on the Wind as track #2)  :rock

or freewheel burning 1983 in Dortmund (HQ). It was shown on TV and I wasn't allowed to watch it  :cry :cry :cry

Sometimes I think they should have stopped in 1985 after Defenders  :noid

if you have never heard Flotsam and Jetsam...you should....insanely awesome band similar to priest, in the singing department.....my favorite next to Zepp.

although Priest... megadeath... are close

i would have to say those are my 4 all time favorite bands

Zeppelin
Flotsam and Jetsam
Megadeath
Judas priest.

truly if you have not heard Flotsam look up a song called "No place for disgrace" listen to the words and feel the power with which he sings, the guy is great....its about the Samurai

Victim of Changes (Reminds me of my ex,lol).
Tyrant
The Ripper
Green Manalishi (Lot of people don't know it was originally
written/performed by Fleetwood Mac).
Diamonds and Rust (originally written/performed by Joan Baez).

Not many people can reach 3 Octaves (outside of Opera, and even there).
Much less sound as awesome as Halford. He sounds as good as/better than
when they are in the studio, and that's without all of the studio filters,
mixers, dubovers, etc.
I was a Priest fan before Halford. (Rock-a-Rolla album-1974ish?)
The singer back then had an Italian last name, can't remember it atm).
He was good but when Halford joined, it made the Priest.
Now with KK Downing gone, it's not the same.
Priest was one of the first bands to use dual lead guitars, and IMO
there are no other 2 guitarists that are as tight or sound as good together as
Tipton/Downing.

The Sentinal was probably the best song of that concert.

I found a replacement for K.K. Downing.

I was a Priest fan before Halford. (Rock-a-Rolla album-1974ish?)
The singer back then had an Italian last name, can't remember it atm).

The first singer was Alan Atkins, but they recorded an album with him. Halford was the singer from the debut Rocka Rolla on,
