I think those are the late war ones from what I can remember, the F4u-4 is allowed *I think*, although I'd have to go back to the last year in FSO's, where Hellcats got to escort B-29s.

/Yeah we didn't quite "escort" as they escorted us.

Considering 150 Allies v 150 Axis, I have come up with the following:

Allies are allowed a max of 24 Spit 5s, 70% USMC F4U's (this number could be anywhere from 20-35), and 28 P-38s. Axis are allowed 38 Ki-61s. Doesn't seem very compatible.

As in real life Ki-61s wouldn't fair well against Spit 5s, F4u-1's or P38Gs, let alone A6m3s Ki-43s or A6m5s. How can you make it balanced since these are the mid-war fighters for the Japanese? add more Ki-61s? We need Ki-43s since Ki-61s were not exactly the main fighter here, an Early model Ki-61 perhaps, however not a late war model.

Realistically speaking at this point in the war, american 4 engines were more of a threat to japanese fighters then American Fighters were.

In my experience the Ki-61 has always been the hardest to deal with of all the Japanese fighters.  It's more than capable if flown correctly.
