Unperk the F4U-4 (and others)

I love the F4U-4 and would like to use it more often. I propose unperking (or reducing the perks) when taking off of a cv only. This way I'll have something to counter the LA7's. However, I am not recommending to unperk the -4 when lifting off a land based field.

Translation: the La7 is unperked, why isn't the 4-hog?


Responce:  when was the last time you fought an La7 (or forced him to fight you) above 7k in a F4U-1_?  A cheaper/free 4-hog is necessary to accomplish this, because?

The -4 is an uber monster of a beast. Unperking it would lead it to being the most seen ride in the MA.


Leave it perked, besides its only perked at 25 or so. Very easy to get if you stay out of the low eny rides.

 maybe it would cure some of the "score potatos" and even lead to less timid playstyle
  perhaps grade the score into the perk cost,not a replacement but just part of it.

I agree that the LA7 is a bit imba. . .it is incredibly powerful.  But the U4 is a lot stronger.  I agree that it is the hands down best prop fighter in the game although the tempest is perked for a good reason, but the tempest cannot knife fight like the U4 can. . . and yes, the spit 14 does not need to be perked. 

So this must be a perk LA7 thread in disguise?

Not really a problem, plenty of unperked CV a/c that can counter an LA7,Spit,Hurricane or pretty much anything else.

The F4U4 is so uber I only use it for NOE pursuits.
