Patches, specifically Battle Over Gerrmany
« on: July 19, 2012, 09:53:34 PM »
Although I really thought bumping the old topic was valid it's last post was on « June 14, 2011, 01:58:46 AM » so decided to start this one.

Were they ever finished and sent out?
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

I don't think an agreement was ever made on the design, so therefore were never sent out.

I've made a new reply on that old thread that may (or may not) help.

Actually I think what happened was the patch guy, Brooke, became the father of twins and his free time for things like patches disappeared  :)

Very true.

Popsman (my Dad, who lives nearby) has offered to help out with patches.  I just need to get the time to get him set up to help out.  I do want to get caught back up (which means mailing out patches for folks who requested long ago and didn't get them yet, getting patches produced for the scenarios since the twins, and then be ready for DGS II).  It's just one of those many things that keeps falling off my plate.  But I hope to get there soon!

That's what I'd like to do -- get all caught up to current scenario.

They're typically free because Brooke is just that awesome, but he did have a link posted to send donations if I remember correctly and I'd be more than happy to contribute again if I could find that link. I think we should all donate for his time, even if he says it's optional.  :salute

The patches I need to get caught up on are:

Winter Sky - Death Ground (April, 2012)
Enemy Coast Ahead (October, 2011)
Road to Rangoon (May, 2011)
Battle Over Germany (February, 2011)

It will cost about $1000 to produce those (donations help defray that cost), and we need graphical designs for Enemy Coast Ahead and Winter Sky - Death Ground.

Does anyone have a spare "Der Grosse Schlag" patch from 2007 they would be willing to sell?
This was the first patch Brooke ran out of, prior to my getting one, and the only one I am missing.

Go buy a lottery ticket, this is your lucky day. I was sent one by
mistake with one I needed. PM me your mailing address and you'll have it
in a few days. No payment will be accepted.     :)
