The joys of being raised in western society.

Parents never did such thing even when they lived back in Vietnam. We used to have a total of 9 dogs in our house (it was an averaged size house but huge land around), after breeding and friends giving us theirs because they couldn't take care of it. I'm Asian myself and I consider it sick that people would do stuff like this. Yes, I understand it's culture and people who do it doesn't even realize that it's "wrong" because they were never told that it was. But it's still "evil" in my opinion. Dogs and cats have been pets for thousand of years, to kill them and eat them...eh..

.
Then of course, we also have the stereotypes and the racist idiots who think all Asians are like that. But that's a different story, and I rather not be the one who get this thread locked.

But, to keep the convo going (in a good way), weirdest thing I've ever ate was Sea Urchins on a trip to Vietnam about 3 years ago. Picked right off the coast, they brought it on the boat, fried it, served it and we ate it about 30 minutes after they were caught. Surprisingly not bad at all, tasted like little bite sized pieces of chicken (seriously

).
