Well I can say this and not flinch, dog is great if cooked right, had it in the Phillipines when I was there.

I would be worried if I went in and say a window leading from the spay clinic to the restraints kitchen.

This reminds me of a really filthy looking Asian 'fish' restaurant that used to be right adjacent to an emergency veternary clinic not too far from where I live.  I wondered how the heck that place stayed in business.  I don't think it actually did for all that long and was probably just a front for some sort of illegal activity.

During my trip to Philippines I asked my ol lady about this - in certain areas dogs and cats are a delicacy, but its  more in the old old generation - grandmothers/grandfathers.
Its quite rare now a days, although it was more common in the 50s and 60s because of the war torn areas, now they are quite western - although they still eat some weird food I won't touch.

Culture differences, as my ol lady will joke "Woof is NOT whats for dinner" she'd rather eat at mcdonalds. oh FYI asian's dont know kung fu either so lets get that out of the way also.
However when they start cussing in the native langage, its time to shut up before they really get pissed. I find it sexy, but apparently she don't see the joke in it

Don't have any pictures, but there's a strip mall in FtWorth that I've always thought was a crime wave waiting to happen. Pawn shop/gun store/liquor store. Just pawn your stolen goods, buy a gun and rob the liquor store.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

The joys of being raised in western society.  :)

Parents never did such thing even when they lived back in Vietnam. We used to have a total of 9 dogs in our house (it was an averaged size house but huge land around), after breeding and friends giving us theirs because they couldn't take care of it. I'm Asian myself and I consider it sick that people would do stuff like this. Yes, I understand it's culture and people who do it doesn't even realize that it's "wrong" because they were never told that it was. But it's still "evil" in my opinion. Dogs and cats have been pets for thousand of years, to kill them and eat them...eh..  :huh.

Then of course, we also have the stereotypes and the racist idiots who think all Asians are like that. But that's a different story, and I rather not be the one who get this thread locked.  :)

But, to keep the convo going (in a good way), weirdest thing I've ever ate was Sea Urchins on a trip to Vietnam about 3 years ago. Picked right off the coast, they brought it on the boat, fried it, served it and we ate it about 30 minutes after they were caught. Surprisingly not bad at all, tasted like little bite sized pieces of chicken (seriously  :)).

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

Actually, the egg-heads are now saying that sharks don't really eat people, they just taste us and spit us back out when they realize we taste funny.
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

I have spent alot of time in Thailand, and its not the customs to eat Dogs and Cats, when it happens, it happens in villages far north that still are undeveloped and poor.

Rats on the other hand, i personally know rich people in Thailand that eat rats...

Its pretty much against their religion to eat cats anyhow, i think the Cat is the last step before you become human, speaking of Buddism here.

There used to be a little BBQ resturant a few miles from where I live that was owned/managed by a Vietnamese guy. The health department shut him down after they found several dogs hanging in the cooler  :O. I ate there a few times. Apparently they had been serving barbequed dog for some time before they where shut down. They had really good BBQ too  :huh
