:aok

Looks like a good time. Here are a couple of my buddies jeeps that we play with.  :rock I'm in the process of building one.

(Image removed from quote.)

And no.  Our daddies don't help us fix them when they break.  Well unless we supply them with enough beer.

Truck won't disengage from 4wd low. I tried everything to get it out and nothing  :cry.

I was being nice pulling a friend out a ditch and now I'm stuck doing like 45mph at 4800rpm.  :cry

if it's a ford, you need to be either in park or neutral engine running, then switch it to 2wd.

 ford engineers.

when a ford engineer tops out at ford, they go to work for gm and chrysler. they then proceed to eff up those cars. when they get REALLY super duper good, they go work for vw/audi, mercedes, and bmw. they then proceed to make those cars the uncomplicated machines they are.  :devil

I drive an '06 Z71.  I was gonna pull a friend out in a similar situation.  I stop, shift to neutral, punch the 4 low button, lights flash and click into gear, green light, shift to drive, and it makes a god awful gear grinding noise, and then no power. :O  I disengage the 4WD, then drive away as if nothing happened.  I still dont know what happened to this day, but its been 3 years and it hasnt happened again.  Right after that I tried again with no problems, and got my buddy out of the crater the moron drove into.

in some instances, those extra cats are necessary to get past some emissions standards. california in particular. nj too, as all new cars sold in nj must have cali emissions.

i've replaced countless cat assemblies on audi a4's and vw passats. they've also got 4 cats. the problem is that each assembly is 2 cats with a small flex pipe in the middle. that flex pipe breaks, requiring replacement of the assembly. they ain't cheap.

Sounds like it did not fully engage.
