294 kill streak before dying. My best attempt yet at an old challenge

Hmmm you're right.  Where did this FishU streak of 352 theory come from then?  Levi?  Maybe it is the most epic coincidence of all time?

Okay, here's what I found:

FishU had two major streaks in beta.  The first was 278 kills, and the second was 348 kills - both in an A8 and both of dubious validity.

The 352 is probably just folks confusing FishU's actual numbers with Hartmann's numbers since they're pretty close.

fishu beta tour 1 was fishus only streak:
he didnt play much in beta tour 2 he died once after around 50 kills and didnt play the rest of the tour.

347 total with no recorded kills by another player.
278 of the 347 was in fw190
the rest in various other planes including b17.
he died 11 times to unknown causes but had no captures or bails.

352 is just the number that I set as my own streak goal because hartman was awsome. its not really based on anyone elses in game achievements

if i hadnt had my run in with a wirble I would be sitting at 349 kills at the moment. but instead im back to 55 as my current streak babalonian.

its not as exciting though after the first death of the tour and I am really just practicing for next tour. the addrenalin rush isn't as great.

That's where the 278 comes from - it's the number of kills in one type of plane in the tour.  FishU had mentioned that number specifically, then Hristo mentioned 348 (not 347) in another thread.  I didn't bother to look up the stats on it.

I hope anyone else that likes to streak and gets a good kill tally posts a thread on it with the key words " # kill streak" in the title so there is some way of finding it and recording it for us other streak dweebs that like reading about such things.

not so much to gloat or brag but AAR format giving details of the attempt etc even if it ended in being killed... personally the way i died on a good streak is very memorable to me. its even fun to write about.

Jeeze...... the best I ever did was 39 landed kills......with no damage taken.  But that was Warbirds and more than several years ago.  I just don't have the patience, or focus..... for that type of playing.  I do recall when Fishu landed a sortie back in AH beta where he was in a FW190 and he landed some unholy number of kills.  These days they would call it shade clubbing.....

in the olden times each kill you made was numbered and anounced when you made the kill.

you might imagine that if you rearmed and started getting 20+ number next to your name people take an interest in keeping you from continuing to do such an unsavory endeavor.

i recall some of the people that were ther saying fishu was using a bug that credited all ack kills by the server to a player and was getting credit for a ton of free scalps. I didn't see it so I don't know. but he never did a streak past 50 after beta tour 1 even though he played for a couple years after.

thats why I think a streak should be posted on the BBS so it can be verified as authentic when it happened for dweebs that like stuff like survivalist kill streak flying.

but further more. AH is a big sandbox that can be played any way any player sees fit. no way is better than any other way.

everyone is drawn to their own methodology and interest in the planes they like and what aspects of air combat they like to concentrate on.

fly it your own way. whatever you find in the game as challenging and fun regardless of what it is is what makes the game enjoyable.
