Are you sure it's not at your end?

I only ask because it seems like there might be something wrong with your caps lock key as well :old:

:airplane: No, nothing wrong with my computer, or any other Rooks in MLW arena, we are all having trouble with the VOX system. No there is nothing wrong with my caps lock, it did get your attention, didn't it?
I posted this thread because I knew "Skuzzy" would see it first thing today. Besides, my squad uses "Mumble", which is a team speak type of voice comm and it goes through the Hi Tech system as well and there is Nothing wrong with it! The problem is when I post a mission and other Rooks get in the mission, who are not part of the Mumble system, I have to use either range or channel VOX to communicate with them. I have been using text buffer to hand out assignments for the last two days and if you don't think that is a problem, try giving out instructions to 20 or 25 people, plus plan your approach and fly and calculate the most effective plan of attack all at the same time.....simple, right?

I posted this thread because I knew "Skuzzy" would see it first thing today.

After reading it, he'll move it to the "tech" forum, or hardware/software...where you'll probably get an answer to your issues.

Normally when you are having drop outs, it is due to UDP packet loss on the connection.  Aces High uses UDP for the VOX portion to reduce overhead, but when a packet is lost, it is lost.

Three things to try;

1)  Use Ping Plotter to run a plot to the server, using the UDP protocol.  See if there is any packet loss along the way.  If there is, that is the culprit.
2)  If you are behind a router, power cycle the router.  Consumer grade routers need to be rebooted from time to time.
3)  Place your name in the 'V' box to test your own connection.  The problem may not be you at all.  If you hear yourself without any breakups, the problem lies with the person claiming you are breaking up.

:airplane: Thanks Roy, it may be that our Mumbe system is interfering some way. Thanks for your help!

It restarts the VOX connection.
