it is also completely inaccurate. it has always been lawful to use reasonable force to protect yourself or your property, to prevent a crime from being committed, to stop a crime in progress, or to detain a suspect until the police arrive. the current govt has made it clear since they got in that this principle will be supported by the police, CPS and courts. and it has - there are several cases where intruders have been killed or maimed by residents and no charges have been brought. only this week they have gone one step further and announced they will be raising the bar for the reasonable force test to give victims of crime more legal protection.

Pennsylvania "Castle Doctrine" was just changed in favor of those being attacked last year.  It now extends to your property and your person, not just inside the house...

If someone gets over the fence...past the two German Shepherds...and into my house they will recieve a gift from me of .45 ACP rounds to air condition them.

I DO have to clean up the mess and patch up the bullet holes though.  Thank goodness for Lowes and Home Depot.

One of the most common misconceptions that Americans think they know about the Continental Congress is that English was 1 vote more than German (Deutsch) as the official language for the United States.

No vote was ever taken for an official language.

How would have history for America been rewritten if German was an official language for America?

I have a hard time believing this is true, are you sure about that?  English was the de-facto language spoken in the colonies by the vast majority of people.  Newspapers, law, contracts...all of it in English.  How would German even come close to being considered the official language?

There were tens of thousands of German and Austrian immigrants that flooded Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey and had German newspapers that blanketed the entire area.  This is what gave credence to the idea that the Continental Congress actually took a vote for an official language.  It was discussed only to weigh the options of distancing themselves from England by speaking a different language but the English speaking representatives never actually desired to put that to a vote.

It was Prussian leadership and discipline that George Washington had to call on to get the Revolutionary army to be stand against the British army.  There was a large slavic influence being culled from during the war.

In America if you are home while they break in, you can kill, but if you are not at home and the perpetrator injures him self inside your home, he can file lawsuit. Lol.

I can use deadly force if someone is on my property now and the new laws make it very hard for a trespasser to bring a lawsuit against me.
