"Bring him over the base"
« on: October 11, 2012, 10:57:34 PM »
if you're sitting in a wirble 5k yds from the nearest dogfight, do not say this to someone fighting air to air.

it is so common, it's becoming annoying.

if he asks for help, then maybe.

I might think of it opposite from most people, as I despise vulching, and think bringing enemy to bases is wrong. Because as a field-gun-tard, I try to repel enemy from bases.  go to the towns!

uhm, not at all
Yesterday 3 Ponies jumped my Dora. Soon enough, all 3 decided to run - straight to their flaker. I was alone on the deck, they came in about at 7-8K.
Since i couldnt see the flak til i was 800 out, had no real chance to survive.

No problem from me.

If you don't mind letting the enemy drag you away from the base so they can pick and gang you and lure you into THEIR fight I have no qualms watching them blow your head off and make you explode.

The magical ability to see friendly flak panzers at ten times the range that your opponent can see the same flak panzers has made this a very common tactic due to its success rate.

People say "Just don't follow them, you know they are leading you to a Wirblewind."  The problem with that is it makes any short, straight run at low altitude a successful tactic to clear one's six.

Friendly GV icons need to follow the same rules as enemy GV icons.

My personal general rule is to dogfight. If I am dogfighting and get shot by a ground vehicle... I will return in my fighter with bombs and take out a couple of vehicles then dogfight.

If folks in the vehicles start calling out bomb**** I can only laugh as they or their cohorts brought it on themselves.

It's part of the game.

I don't like to be shot up by a wirb when I'm chasing a guy down, but I can't really blame the guy... I'm on his 6!  He's still a sissy though.  :D

Personally, I just use common sense when the game puts me on the wrong end of an engagement.  If my plane is in fighting shape and the con(s) doesn't have a completely overwhelming advantage, I fight.  If that's not the case, hovering near a wirb and/or getting out of Dodge is in my future.

Fighting spirit one must have. Even if a man lacks some of the other qualifications, he can often make up for it in fighting spirit. -Robin Olds

simple rule.....ponies either run to other fighters, wirbs or home.  Just saying.  I only offer help in a wirb when its an unfair fight and its looking bad for the 1 fighter defending against ponies.  I hate little girls and their ponies  :devil
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?
