Aircraft Carriers

Last night I learned that the US Navy does have ships called aircraft carriers, and aircraft do indeed land on them.

I agree, the US military definitely needs more money to be spent on it, and making fun of someone who brings that up is really uncouth

It just so happens I did use my bayonet in Iraq.  Sometimes at 21st century, high tech, super duper, hi speed bang bang maker isn't needed to get the job done right (especially at a range of 3 feet).

It might have been a bit more funny were it some people bantering around a bar, but then again, I would rather that he spent some time making some sound economic decisions as opposed to learning juvenile sounding zingers to poke at an opposing candidates.  Oh wait, he has had almost 4 years to do that and has yet to do it.  I see the funny now....

Coombz, I'm trying to find a straight line through two of your posts. On this thread you post what seems to be jab at America spending so much on a military presence, obviously in other countries. Is it safe to say we are a bit heavy on this?

On another thread there is a video of an American citizen being stopped at a checkpoint in Texas, well beyond the international border. You make a few comments in jest about Americans being worried about a police state.

If I were to draw a simple conclussion you don't like America doing the heavy thing in other countries but you do like America doing the heavy thing in our own country? Is that how you would see it? Help me out here...
