How about any pilot downed behind enemy lines being allowed to join a friendly M3 or Jeep within 0.5K. If they are able to return to their spawn point or base.  He would then get a ditch but not a capture.

I find that to be reasonable.  In addition to this make it so the "owner" of the m3 or jeep can make the pilot either a "passenger" (so no using guns), or a "gunner".

even if this function was to be added, there would be few people willing to take an m3 or goon for a 45 minute drive to a place most likely full of enemy planes to rescue a downed pilot.  I see it more used to bring a pilot back to base when it crash lands close to the base but 3 or 4 sectors out would be a long wait.

Joining to a nearby gv would be cool but it should be a more like 50 feet than half a kilometer........unless you make it possible for the enemy to join and shoot at you as you drive.

The topic has merit.  :aok  Not so sure about the chopper though

A former squad, used to simulate this type of thing in the MA.  The most enjoyable thing ever, they didn't depend on HTC to provide them perk points for kudos, they just kept track of the squad missions with AAR reports and then tallied them on website scoreboard.

This is true guncrasher, but a lot of times when you are trying to take a base the GV spawn is used bring the troops with the M3. Thus you would have GVs in the area. And in the event the base is taken it might save you a long walk. LOL

You payed 200 perks for the 262 not the pilot. Rescue or not if you lose the bird you should lose all the points.

This is a very good idea that just needs a very simple implementation.

Sometimes I worry about HTC taking wishes too seriously and only looking at face value, its not the details that make the concept, its the spirit of it.

Whats wrong with allowing people to land their streaks by ".ef"ing next to a landed friendly?

I think we could all agree that, that is certainly something worthy of having for airplanes and complements the current chute implementation.

No, if you don't bring it back, YOU FAIL! that is the challenge !  Now you want "easy mode" so you only have to bring it part way back and not with all the parts? LEARN TO BRING IT BACK! ..... or is that just too hard for ya?

Lol, is this your game?

No.

Shut up and play it instead of dictating how it should be played, only HT has that right.

Features that add continuity, like the recent reconnect from disconnection and this only add to the game, not take; like your restrictive way of thinking.
