Pirates of the Burning sea
« on: November 02, 2012, 02:52:45 PM »
IS free to play and it kinda reminds me of Pirates! from Sid Meyers, anyone feel like gettting nautical and  setting up a fleet? The econ model is pretty beefy and you can make everything ya need. I've always like the game but have never  had anyone to game with and the guilds I tried to join got on my nerves(squeekers abound)

This game showed great potential during development, but then the Flying Lab company both developed and ran it into the ground. They had a great game at its core and then built the rest of it to interfere as much as possible with its core features. I doubt it can still be saved.

I used to play that quite a bit.  It was a lot of fun.  I like all the different options you can do with the ships.

There are endless campaigns to trek off on, unlimited people to sail with or have combat with, etc.

It is a lot of fun.  The learning curve is not too long either.

I'd actually considering playing again.   :aok

I looked at it but i think I like the play of Burning seas more, have different shot type like bar, or chain  to take our rigging ad canister and other to take out crew as well as the round shot, pretty much everything in game is crafted. I just watched a walk through that didnt show the melee combat it it turn based?
