Took forever for hoards to capture defended feilds. And you stood a chance to fight them back upping from the hoarded feild. Very few HO's or running away. And the rare 109 expert now and again realy stood out and was fun to watch his manuvering mastery in his 109. Of all things the Typhoon was the high speed hit and run plane. But, most I ran into wanted to fight. I watched GV's fight each other in groups more often than simply spawn camping with thick armor and a super gun.
I was having AW and AH1 dejavu dreams last night.
Moral to this story. If you cannot run away and your planes are reasonably matched, you have to fight. Numbers become important versus speed.
If we were stuck with playing in the MWMA for another week, the vTards would hoard in P38, Typhoons, P51B and B26 leveling fields much like they do enmass in the LW with P51D and lancasters. B26 in numbers combined with their speed are a potent attack force with the midwar matchups to rapidly swamp an airfeild.
