Actually, all it means is that the perk farmers will come en masse and since they are kay-rap pilots anyhow then it becomes a perk farming of the farmers for the good pilots; so in effect it means you can earn more perks!
Also, why in the eff do you care how many perks someone else has or how they got them? Bunch of old lady busy-bodies in this game.
Your last point is kinda my point, I don't really care about perks myself or giving out a few/chunk extra to those who really want to work for them, I myself have been playing AH long enough not to have to.
I think perk farmers will farm perks no matter what, even if it's "Midwar Monday/Tue/Wend/Thu/Etc.". It will be of a benefit to them if they attend and participate, but if they are truely that loweliest of scourage everyone claims is just avoiding the random conflict and chaos of the larger population arenas to just farm perks... I'm thinking they'll continue to do what they are doign and may actually avoid these timeframes.
- So no I strongly disagree, as far as our "traditional style" of perk farmer goes, those will especialy not come en masse to a popular event that will involve more risk than the traditional (or enhanced) reward they exclusively seek. Yes, ti will encourage those who seek a greater reward but aren't looking to dodge the "usual risk of combat".
Perk farming for the "experienced pilots"... well, unless having the potential to afford twenty-five 262s tomorrow is a lot more attractive than my current twenty-four, and I'm sure I'm not alone. So if perks are pointless, then it boils down to if the fights are good, and yes those who enjoy good fights will come if there are good fights to be had (a bit of an oximoron since they're going to be mostly against "noobs", right?). But there will still be good fights to be found in the LWMA too, and with all the planes available there as always. It will depend on the players I guess, I have no doubt there will be those who need to prey on the weak, and those who will participate in the nostalgia of it being new at first.
I'm mostly trying to think of a way to coddle newer players who really want to make a satisfying amount of perk points (which is any above the little to none they have) and encourage some more positive experiences in regards to infusing some participation and population in the Mid, Early and WWI arena (besides another "awesome fun" once-in-a-blue-moon evenings, IE: only when the LWMA crashes).
