Thx for the pix Ice,I've never seen a scatter sheild for a frontdriver before! :aok

However I knew they had to exist, just makes sense.

Even thought the Acura doesnt make big HP doesnt mean it cant blow a clutch, the likelyhood of it grenading like in the video are somewhat remote but as Ron says"you cant cure stupid".

I'm not infering that Wolfala suffers from stupid, just that it's possible to blow a clutch doing something stupid!

   :salute
PS: the car that almost took that guys arm was a maveric grabber with a 302 that doesnt have a whole lot more HP than the Acura, plenty more torque but HP is fairly close.

a friend did same thing in his 69superbee
him and his buddy had just installed a new drag clutch what kind escapes me as I was young and dumb
they are doing burnout in the driveway, their story they heard a hi pitched whine just as it let go causing them to pull their feet back as they leaned forward to hear the noise better ,the fragments cam through the floorboards, sticking in the dashwhere their feet would have been no injuries except the superbee. true story I saw the hole in the floorboards and the decimated bell housing a few days later.

You're ok.  What is "built" into your car is the really that it isn't a massive horsepower monster that has been built as such aftermarket.  The engineers of the car likely  considered these things when they designed it.  What you saw was someone modifying a car far beyond its original specifications, which along with performance modifications, might, or should require safety modifications as well.

Just making sure. The TLS is torquey if you beat on it (which I don't) - I just want to make sure that I'm not at risk for something like this

the best cure for "wife ack" is to deploy chaff:    $...$$....$....$$$.....$ .....$$$.....$ ....$$
