Stop taking zone bases
« on: December 09, 2012, 10:58:28 AM »
I'm almost embarrassed by the sheer lunacy of certain mission leaders constantly attacking enemy zone bases.

Last night one of the most prolific mission posters in the game made 3 consecutive attempts at 3 different zone bases.  Luckily the first two were failures but the 3rd was a success and the mission leader logged off immediately after taking it.

 :o :o THANKS FOR NOTHING JERK. :o :o
If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

:headscratch: I don't understand Rob. I thought you were on the massive mission type playing, shut the field down crowd? Have you come to finally see the light and switched your game style?

What is this drama all about???

Zone bases?  Is he referring to capturing a base near enough to the strats to retreat them to the rear???  Zone bases?  We have not had them since HTC started to use the "strategic industrial complex" we currently have in place, and that was done 18 months ago???

Funny, when you did things like that it was because you were 'uber' and we were whining unnecessarily. Don't take it personally, in my years I've seen many squads (and people) go the full gambit from horde base taking to strict dog-fighting.

Congratulations on the graduation! Isn't it nice to know that you don't need the safety of a squad to fight? It is definitely a pivotal moment that some never experience.

Yes, that's the "zone bases" we got now, visible if you select "zones" on the clipboard map.

And to complain about the taking of one of those bases doesn't necessarily mean a departure from being a base grabber, war-winner. In fact, if there are still several other enemy bases available for grabbin, any armchair general with some actual clue would try to avoid capturing such an enemy zone base ;)

It's one thing to horde up and take bases.  I really don't care if people want to do that.

It's another thing to hand another country a huge advantage because you insist on doing everything NOE and are incapable of leading a group of airplanes over land.  And to top it all of he logs off after ruining our own chances of holding territory.  To me this is worse than having 2 shade accounts used for spying (which doesn't actually happen).

If I change countries in the near future I expect to be killing a lot of N1Ks and lancasters.  None of them will be flying above 200 feet or faster than 300 mph.

Rob,

Your new leather helmet and goggles are in the DA at one of the private fields.  After checking in with Morph, Bighorn (when he's in season) or Ghost in the TA and having your fighter-clock completely cleaned out and handed back to you, proceed to Scotch's office in the DA.  After receiving your 1 v 1 training group assignment, you'll begin at one of the private fields with Scotch, Redbull, Corky, Lazer, (geezus the entire 80th) INK, Rodent57, Batfink, Dodger, Krup, Fonzi, Agent360, Bruv, oh hell, you get the picture.

Take note of who you DON'T see there...that will illuminate the terrain in your new path.

To quote my good friend Dodger for the umteenth time (and his sig)
