You bastiges. Very well organized buttkicking of the rooks, with a reset at about 11:30 CST. Goes to show what organization on a grand scale can do.

Bah... Being Bish is in the blood. We have no control over it. In the immortal words of Ken Kesey, you're either on the bus, or yer a dweeb. Well... something like that.

On behalf of my fellow bishes.. the guys that did it... thanks Hblair!   A special thanks to Funked and the 308 SQ, the Polish Fighting Team.. a group of pro's that worked their butts off with those JABO typhies all evening. The JABO run on HQ was truly a pisser. <S!>

The squad leaders came together on RW for a quick breif at 8:30 and they set about the tasks.. never seen so many missions on the planner at one time before.

Was just plain a hoot.. and a damn good fight was put up by the rooks; make no mistake...

Many missions.. many jobs done.. all helped. Was something to see... Lordy. What a night.

Gonna go get drunk now..

Thanks again.. all of you; rooks; knits.. and of course; the Bish. <S!>

Wasn't me Hblair.. was Citabria. I just helped. He worked like a madman settin up and staffing the 20 B17 hit on HQ; the follow on raids to the city and lead the offensive in the north. I took my cues from him.

WTG Citabria! <S!>

That was fun.
I loved Hangtime on ch1:  "Rooks surrender 37 now or suffer defeat in detail!" or something to that effect.

Yup - was really a duel effort. Cita knocking out the Rook infrastructure,
Hangtime setting up the crucial blows to the Rook home island, during which Cita organized clearing out Rooks in the North, and finally all meeting up at 35 for the knock-out punch on 37.

This was one of those memorable nights, for sure.

And sure, we all had a hand in it. But if it weren't for these two guys taking the reigns it would never have happened. It was a freaking 4 hours of BLITZKREIG in there!

Classic night. <S> and THANK YOU HANG AND CITA!

If we knights would have taken one more bish base; we would have won.    It certainly was a fun "knight" to be a knight.

(I'd hate to be a rook though...)

Overheard on RW as the PFT whistled in on A25:

"check bombs armed'

"check"

"ok; no cons, in on VH"

"rgr"

"lined up....."

"yup"

"here we go!"

"hey.. wait... 25 is ours..."

"oh.. damn. wondered why we had no opposition"

LOL.. spent the night listening to these guys.. they did their barnyard animal routine, Mickey said "hi" and they greatly lamented the loss of the chicken.... I was in stitches.

<S!> again PFT!
