My mom used to say that I shouldn't rely on my superior driving skills - which I know I don't have - because I can't control the other drivers out there.
When I was going through motorcycle training, it was pounded into me that the "good" riders are the ones that don't need to use their superior skills. They're the ones that find the easiest route, and always have a way out.
Good mantra no matter what you're commuting on.
And for giggles, my first car (that was actually in my name). 79 Datsun 280zx 2+2. The 2+2 being for one of two purposes:
Cheaper insurance
Or two, you had someone who lost their legs and didn't need the space...
THAT, was a chick magnet, even though I spent more time repairing than driving, totally worth it. Learned a lot!
