The pickup mission option in the clipboard can be augmented with a light or text color change which goes on when 1 to the Max number of missions in queue are available in the queue to be joined.
Just like the new option for the compass that shows up on the map can be turned off in the environment setup. A similare option to display the mission available light can be introduced. Then choice will rule if you want to be notifed and insulted by the idea of an available mission or you have eagerly been waiting for one to be posted as part of your $14.95 gaming experience.
Who here is gonna tell Hitech he cannot pay his mortgage because you are personaly offended by a purpose designed social feature of his game that is very popular with the "less talented" and "few years in grade paying subscribers" to our little fantasy world??
Or is AH some weird social theocracy run by the self anoited protectors of the one true way to play this game?
Sheesh I didn't know it was as simple as land a few kills, drop a few bombs, and Hitech has to ask your permission to run his business while you guys consult your holy book of the One True Game. Where do you sign up for that gravey train?? Do you wear special robes and have secret handshakes and ominous initiation rites? I bet 2 scoobie snacks Fugi is the current pontif and exalted keeper of the only way to play.
All pray to the Fugi: Nos es Non Dignus
I actually missed all this. In Bustr's post as in many other peoples post if you don't get to a "point" some place in the beginning of that post I move on. kvuo75 quoting is what caught my eye.
As to the "one true way to play the game", are you saying there isn't? I always thought the one true way to play is to have fun! <--- see point made in second sentence. I pay my $15 a month to have fun fighting in my cartoon airplane, why shouldn't I be able to point out when that fun is taken away by the ridiculous odds presented by a horde? or the inability of catching up to the "hit and run" NOEs?
The reason I post is in the hopes someone comes up with a way to counter these styles of play. I'm sure HTC gets a lot of ideas from the boards. I don't have a problem with the way anyone plays as I have most likely played that way myself many times. I'm just looking for options and sometimes suggesting them as well. I'm not telling anyone how to play.
