I was awarded kills, same mission, in an M3 machine gunning a T-34/85 and Pz IVH.

The T34/85 may have bailed, but the Pz IV H blew up in front of me.  I have the film somewhere.

That's very easy. It's possible to kill a m18 with a stitches rear gun and that's a 7.7mm

I remember when you could drive a jeep into the inside of an enemy tank (any type) and kill it by using the MG. Funny stuff, but pizzed off a lot of folks.

Do some research and see how much armor the US M2 Browning .50 cal can defeat at specific ranges.  A jeep can disable an M3, SdKfz 251, M8, M18, M16 MGMC, Ostwind, Wirblewind, and both LVT's.  At minimum a jeep can disable the turret. Think of AH as being one big rock-paper-scissors game.  Aces High is ultimately one big round robin and "on any given Sunday" one thing can destroy another. The only exception is the C47 because it has no way of delivering any offensive damage (other than collision).

There is a reason the M18 was used as a tank hunter and only a tank hunter.  Anytime it was mixed up in with enemy infantry it was as good as dead.  Ultimately, it had no more armor than the M8 with even less ability against infantry (M8 has 2 MG's).

Oh...  I will again use this post to remind people to take along some HE regardless of your mission because the HE will easily deal with the fast movers.  You do not need a direct hit with HE to disable the M18, M8, M3, or jeep. A near miss will disable their turret, blow a tire, damage a track, or even disable the engine. With AP you need a direct hit and that is not easy for anyone vs a M18, m3, M8, or jeep, moving full speed in and around trees and moguls at 1600 yards.  Take and use HE.  Trust me.

I was wondering about this - would it be possible for a C47 to kill another plane by dropping troops and using them as "aerial mines" that an enemy plane can run into?  Or do troops turn into a harmless red mist as soon as they hit the prop of a pursuing plane?
