Because it is more balanced and reduces the chances of there being a perpetually outnumbered side.

I fully agree with that for LW.

But in the extremely low populated EW arena, you are running into a different kind of problem: Most of the time one country is having the numbers (relatively spoken) while the other countries have none as no or just one player. The result is that the 4-5 guys on the populated country run their basegrabs unopposed, for if you switch to the country that's being attacked by them, they just switch their focus to the other, now unpopulated country. And you are stuck.

I finally left EW when I was no longer able to engage the basegrab groups because of this "strategy", which does only work because of the 3 country setup.

I love perk farming. I fly the early/midwar Fw-190A5 and regularly land 15-20 perks by killing late-war monsters.

In the EWA and MWA that makes sense.  He was advocating for it in the LWA though.

It's mediocre at best. Or do you perhaps see many people flying it? You can't see much out of it, it can't match the speed of the late war rides and it doesn't even pack cannons. Greebo is doing miracles in it. An average player can't survive more than a minute in it.

the speed/views are the biggest reason its not flown a lot......

how many 50's?.....

the thing is a beast......certainly not mediocre....it lacks high speed....that is all....besides the crappy view...which is extremely crappy......

dives awesome
turns better then most...only the very best turners can out turn it....
takes a lot of damage
lots of ammo
awesome lo speed handling


no hi speed
very bad views

Would be fun to watch the so called elite players fumble around with engine management.

Even more fun to see those who think engine management is a big deal find out it isn't.

It persistently amazes me how many people think these aircraft were so incredibly difficult to operate that they required constant adjustments or their engines would lock up, explode or shut off.

The people flying these things were often 18-22 year old kids.  Smart guys, sure, but not super humans, not incomparable geniuses.

If you had to watch your engine like the engine management nuts seem to think you did all that power wouldn't have won fights as the guys with half the power on simpler engines could have actually paid attention to the fighting instead of constantly tweaking their power plant.

Read some more.  How many times do the pilots relating their experiences say something to the effect of "I pushed the throttle to the stops and left it there."?  I have seen many such comments from WWII pilots.

- Fix the collision model so that BOTH go down!
- Enforce a REALISTIC engine management system
- Remove bomber formations and auto buff gunners

When you sign up for AH they ask you(and I could be wrong been awhile) Name, phone number, credit card.......Why not get your SS number(not sure what the good people have oversea's) so that way HT knows it you and only you. So here you are flying around, minding you own business and POOF you get shot down and disco. You log back on only to see a message that says " SORRY TO INORM YOU YOU CAN NO LONGER PLAY AH CUZ YOUR DEAD".  :salute

Rather than close EW and MW why not eliminate one of the sides (Bish, Rooks or Knights) in the LW arena? There would be a lot more action this way. Not sure why there are 3 sides anyway?
