They have this already.  You just land the plane, end sortie, click the runway you want and "poof"  Auto Take-off. :aok  Seriously though, that's the challenge involved in a re-arm.  Make it to the pad, get the plane setup on the runway again, and keep it on the straight and narrow while lifting off.

If you have enough skill (or luck) to actually be able to land and get to the rearm pad, you should then also have enough skill to manually take off without the crutch of auto-takeoff.

I'd like a .poontang command, too.

To be fair if you're often an AFK flyer like I am frequently that could be kinda nice to have.  If it was a "flick the switch" type of change sure!  But It probably isn't. You wouldn't be perfectly lined up with the runway for example.
I do not think this is a request for a crutch, but one for convenience.  It wouldn't be a very big convenience.  I would use it but my reaction is pretty much just...meh.

Why not, we already have IFF transponders.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

Classic case of give the player what he wants, not what he asks for.

I.E. Ask for dot command, wants a way to turn auto take off on once it was off.

How about I turn on  auto takeoff if any autopilot key is press and you are stopped on the ground?

Really? I always thought is was an Instrument Landing System thingy, that lets you find and line up for a landing in low-viz situations.

Maybe to go along with the "auto takeoff" we should have "auto landing" too...
