« on: January 23, 2013, 07:03:20 AM »
How does a apple cart flip a tank? Why does a bush stop a tank dead in it's tracks?

you can have the ground game. i'll be flying  :airplane:

It's a good distraction and a needed rest after twisting, pushing, and pulling within furry balls.  :D

Objects are made hard I guess to capture them low flying buzzards.

I'm guessing it was a perk tank or you wouldn't be upset.

It's a known fact tigers like hiding in trees.

maybe you could word your opinion a bit better.   :aok  While I agree that there are some goofy things going on in the terrain, etc, I understand the limitations of the coading.

My question is can HTC, at least for future maps, reduce the "hard" signature of an object and still allow it to provide visual concealment? For instance, the hedgerows are currently one of those things that if you run in to with your tank you are stopped, spun around, or flipped. Is there a way to reduce the hedgerows down so that when (most) gv's hit them they go over top instead of stopping AND still have the visual effect of the hedgerow there?

Don't have the patience to drive for 5 minutes and then get bombed or killed by a tank hiding somewhere. I like fast and gritty action, GVing just isn't for me. Though I'm sure some one will come here and just tell me that I suck at GVing and its probably true.  :D

the game is concentrated on combat, not on shaking the screen.

I have to be the worst GVer in the game. I drive a panther for 15 minutes to get to the top of a hill. Then decide I'm too far away to hit a damned thing, so I take off back down the hill...hit a bump and roll end over end about 10 or 15 times until I come to a stop at the bottom of the hill.   Luckily I land right side up. So I proceed to get closer to enemy vbase only to be spotted by a Storch. So I duck in behind a barn, but then decide to back out to shoot the Storch with my little machine gun, only to run into a apple cart that flips me over upside down :bhead. Storch then proceeds to drop orange smoke all around my position  :uhoh

I end sortie, lose 6 perk points and give storch boi a free kill.  :(

Yeah, the GV objects are a bit out of whack. Then again, I don't GV nearly as
much since the GV changes. Still like and miss the  :old: way, ability to change gears
when needed.
Even back then, we had toughest bushes and trees.
Would be realistic to plow through hedges, not be spun or flipped upside down.

Lets not forget the panzerfaust equipped sheep of doom. Id settle for the tank to just come to a stop instead of bouncing around. Doesn't even need to drive over.

I used to feel the same way about GV's but I'm starting to like them as a much needed change of pace every once in a while. If you like action keep an eye out for the craterma map. It's a new map and has an incredible tank town with spawns coming in from everywhere. It's the most fun I've ever had in a GV and it's non stop action. Can't wait for that map to come around again.

I'd say the players are lame, more than the game being lame.

Also, the only time you should get close in a Panther is if you're in company with 5-10 other tanks, and are knocking in the enemy's flank.
You started this thread and it was obviously about your want and desire in spite of your use of 'we' and Google.

It's a Panther.  Drive it right up their bums.  Heavily armored with a big gun and a mild perk.  Get real close and personal I say. :aok  Long range plinking is for sissies or lame as you say. :D
