I'm not interested in flying in a hoard, against a hoard. I can go to the MA for that. I go to the DA to practice, develop and refine my ACM. Ganging, HOing and picking is exactly what I want to avoid.

As long as you stay out of the "Furballing" area, then the DA is perfect for that. But if you go to the lake, then you are not looking for 1v1 action.

you cant go to lake and expect 1vs1.......take it to a side base......

I go to DA often and when I am at the lake I expect to get ganged.....

+1.  If you go to the lake, and then complain about not getting a 1v1, its kinda a moot point.  Thats not what the lake is there for.

and that's why I said this: But once the gang arrives and the stupidity starts I'm out of there.

And while you're digging up quotes trying to put words in my mouth, dig up the quote of me saying I go the the lake looking for a 1vs1 fight.

Ya, I no what you are saying.  I guess my point is that, the gang is what the lake is there for.  So saying that once the "Stupidity" gets there you are out, doesn't make sense, IMO.  The "stupidity" is what the lake is sectioned off in that arena, and labeled "Fuballing", for.  HTC did that for a reason, realizing there is a significant amount of their subscribers who actually prefer that "stupidity".

What quotes did I dig up, or words did I put in your mouth?  All I did was respond to your post, and quoted to show what post I was responding to.  Simma down now.   :P

Really? Because every single time I go to DA lake it's the same thing. Spit16s, Brewsters, FU4-4s and Tempests diving in from 10K above me. Spraying lead and zooming back up. If I happen to slow a guy down enough to get him in a fight, another clown will zoom in at hyper sonic speed and get me or the guy I'm fighting.

Well I shouldn't say every single time I go in there. The breakfast club guys are fun to fly with. But once the numbers start growning you can forget about a good fight. It's shoot whatever moves as fast as you can, anyway you can.

That not what you do, the lake is only one part of the DA for SA and furballing. All you have to do is come in an ask who wants to duel. Go to a privet field and duel that's it. It is easier to come to the DA aka (Dueling arena) and look for a duel than it is in the MA, make sense?

The only reason i see people looking for a 1 on 1 in the DA lake is that they have alt and look for a guy to fight thats lower and think that is a duel. I see it all the time and have to bleed them and kill them witch a good pilot can do. Its a waste of time to duel this way. Go to a field pick merge rules and same plane and you can get many duels in and have a blast. This is the only way to see who is who. If i get someone that's not as skilled i will than get a harder plane to fly duel them and practice my skills in that and making the fight more even. so no matter what skill levels the pilots have you can make it up with plane on plane change. (btw) dueling this way means fighting not merging and then zooming up to start B and Z tactics unless agreed by both party's

furball lake in the da would be cool if the gangers could find the decency to not be the 4th or 5th one in. none of them say to themselves, " hey that red has 3 guys on him, ill go find something else".  just seems like they could have some discretion in that way. i also understand not getting 3 behind me, so i bnz when im there. thats when the regulars get pissy bc youre not lettin them turn fight your jug vs their brew. seems like its ok to gang, but not ok to bnz. as long as you fly the way they want, everythings good. i can see how the da would be kick bellybutton tho.

I know who the best are, but I think they would quite rightly cringe if I mentioned them. Being a 'name' in Aces High and being the best are 2 different things, one requires you to be a decent stick and cultivate an image amongst the community ,the other requires 1000s of hours of practice ego and reality checks and learning and not worrying about an image.

I go to furball lake before my tournament fights to warm up in whatever the first plane is that I'll have to fly.

Before I fought batfinkv in Spit I's I managed three kills, ran out of ammo and avoided death for another 10 minutes at furball lake.  I had a great time.  Better yet I beat batfinkv in that first duel but only because he got into the dreaded inverted stall and I swooped in and finished him off.
