I know what Knights are giving up for Lent!

Bases!

Boy last night was frustrating.  I was trying to help fend off attackers from the South and I think there was maybe 4 or 5 of us (Ripsnort, DarkOne, Bohhica and a few others ) trying to hang onto A12 and a few other southern bases that were getting steam-roller'd.  Since no one else was interested in the massacre south, I went North, where everyone else was, and helped grab 42,43 and 30.  Late last night, we had no less than 12 fighters circling 30, waiting for the goon.  Why some of these folks opted not to assist down south is beyond me.  But hey, this is only a game, and cooperation is certainly not required

Overall I had a good time, though I wish we'd balanced our efforts better.  Perhaps it was our turn in the bucket.

Catch you guys online tonight!

I was in the north. We had 3 bases that were heavily attacked and in serious danger. We defended them. I heard the nonstop crying for help in the south, but I personally had my hands full in the north. Combine this with terrible connects on my end and things were hard enough.

What bugs me most about posts like this are the aspersions cast-  People didn't do what you wanted them to, therefore they weren't cooperating. I challenge that comment, because if people wouldn't have cooperated in the north, we would have lost 3 bases in minutes.

In your comment "30 fighters were circling the base- why didn't some of them go south?" did you consider that maybe those 30 had been involved in a big fight, finally gained the upper hand and wanted to see the conclusion of their efforts? I damn sure am not going to leave a base that I helped take when we are ][ close to getting it.

Finally, as I was watching the buffer (while flying deep into Bish territory, trying to hit their fighters/bomber before they gained alt in our territory- bypassing the easy kills below because there were plenty of our guys to kill them already low) I noticed one of the guys in the south berating a new guy, telling him "he sucked" because he hadn't done something right. No way that "teacher" is going to get any help from me; besides, I just might do it wrong if I go down there anyway.

Ditto Kieran. I was one of the bastidges in the north as the bish kept pounding and kept pounding 53. After what seemed an eternity, we pushed em back to 35. No way in hell was I going to leave then.

For what we gained up North, we lost fast down south.  Hey, its only a game and no one has to do anything.  I went up north with a Lancaster (Doc & I) and we levled 42 and 43.

<shrug> that's your perrogative and I understand it.  You pay, you play how you want and I have no problem with it.  I asked for assistance hanging on tothe south, didnt get it, and I dunno what southern bases we still have.

Might have been me yanking Shadows chain.  He was bored on a B26 raid being my gunner and for some odd ball reason, he thought he could damage an airbase with 50 calibers from 3 miles out, and 12,000 feet up.  Since he was fixated doing that, he missed my calls that a P-51 was on our six, lined up at 500ft and tore us up.  Now if you can yell "Spring is here" instead of batting your gunner over the head, surely you are a bigger man than me

Like I said, whatever....I was happy to help us gain turf up North, just disappointed that same comraderie didnt spread south to regain what was lost there.

LePaul-

The point is your complaint is that the Knights weren't cooperating, and the fact is we were.

hiya all:

well I was on last night and fighting up North against some bish that, well they just did not want to give us there base's. I thought that was kinda rude, I mean why would they try to stop us like that.

Well any ways, I did see the calls for help down South, and when ever I looked at the map, the radar bar showed more then 5 guys down South defending. and as for 30 guys flying araound and around and around ovewr field 30, I must have missed that. I was over 30 as fighter cap well waiting for the goon, but did not see 30 other guys there. might have been about 10 to 15, not 30.

Well Lepaul, I dont want to start a fight with you, and I do know how it feels to be trying to defend and getting slammed big time well most of the rest of the team is at other end of map attacking a field. it happens and will always happen, lets just hope it does not happen every night. sorry I did not head down South to help out there.

Kieran,

I don't take is personally, really.  Seemed the same sort of thing was going on tonight too.  Someone pleads for a goon somewhere repeatedly, I figure Ill be a nice guy and haul it over, and Im vulched by 5 fighters enroute to the field that asked for it.  And, not a fellow Knight in sight to guard me in.  <sigh>  Kinda sucks, but just the life of driving goons.

I guess I really savor the times when the Knights (or any team) gets it all together and is virtually unstoppable.  So, after several sorties that seem to be dead ends, one hopes we can put our collective efforts together and repell the invasions.  Just didnt seem the case the other night, nor tonight.

I'm not starting a fight or argument...just grumbling out loud how I KNOW the Knights are capable or being unstoppable and its frustrating when we seem to divide ourselves with seperate agendas, etc.  But that's how the game is.  If you wanna be a lone wolf, you can.  Alternatively, if you wanna work with other players, you can kick arse

Venting done.  Spent too much time in the chute today
