What bugs me most about posts like this are the aspersions cast- People didn't do what you wanted them to, therefore they weren't cooperating. I challenge that comment, because if people wouldn't have cooperated in the north, we would have lost 3 bases in minutes.
For what we gained up North, we lost fast down south. Hey, its only a game and no one has to do anything. I went up north with a Lancaster (Doc & I) and we levled 42 and 43.
In your comment "30 fighters were circling the base- why didn't some of them go south?" did you consider that maybe those 30 had been involved in a big fight, finally gained the upper hand and wanted to see the conclusion of their efforts? I damn sure am not going to leave a base that I helped take when we are ][ close to getting it.
<shrug> that's your perrogative and I understand it. You pay, you play how you want and I have no problem with it. I asked for assistance hanging on tothe south, didnt get it, and I dunno what southern bases we still have.
...I noticed one of the guys in the south berating a new guy, telling him "he sucked" because he hadn't done something right. No way that "teacher" is going to get any help from me; besides, I just might do it wrong if I go down there anyway.
Might have been me yanking Shadows chain. He was bored on a B26 raid being my gunner and for some odd ball reason, he thought he could damage an airbase with 50 calibers from 3 miles out, and 12,000 feet up. Since he was fixated doing that, he missed my calls that a P-51 was on our six, lined up at 500ft and tore us up. Now if you can yell "Spring is here" instead of batting your gunner over the head, surely you are a bigger man than me

Like I said, whatever....I was happy to help us gain turf up North, just disappointed that same comraderie didnt spread south to regain what was lost there.
