NZAF pilot John Church
« on: March 10, 2013, 12:23:27 PM »
Hello all.
I just came across a picture of Mr. Church, who flew with my great uncle in WW2.
Out of memory, I am sure there was a New Zealander who was connected to him, and we corresponded on the forum, but many a year ago.
The squadron would have been RAF 111. AFAIK those two met in NZ at the turn of the Millenium.
So, if someone who knows about this, I'll scan the picture and send it!
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Hello again.
Church actually flew with the RAF. My mistake. SQN 111 in 1942
