Posting private conversations, on a public forum will get you banned from said forum, for life.

Nothing good will come of this. The FSO BBS is not for dealing with issues like this. The reason for your suspension was made clear to you in an email.

I am not asking for an explanation. I am publicizing the issue. If that is against the rules I will delete it or you can.

Seems like a heavy hand was used because the forum was down and they saw an opportunity.

The canceling of CiC duty was uncalled for.

As a squad we all feel that Perd has not been given any representation and to ban him while the forums was down smells fishy. It would be foolish to think that most people in FSO, which is a small community where things like this are noticed, need to have blinders pulled over their eyes.

I understand the ban, what I don't understand is that one person who gets a slightly spicy e-mail concerning a fso frame design (and I dare any of you to read over the rules and tell me otherwise) which is asking for clarification more then anything else, can forward that e-mail to someone with a moderate amount of authority, and with no due process, gets that someone banned for a frame, CiC duty removed (there are others in KN you know), and basically derided publicly.

I am sure all of us have had to satisfy a player in a game that has very high standards and is vocal with his/her opinion. The mistake is to disregard what that person says offhand.

So don't say 'this is not the place to talk about this' when there is no place to discuss this. . . I for one want to see the minuets and the voting record for exec. decisions to make sure that I am being represented since clearly perd has been sent out to pasture.

Good riddance.

Fair enough.

"Nothing good will come of this."

I seriously doubt that. I am sure the CM Forum will erupt with laughter and high 5's all around. So at least I can provide a bit of camaraderie and entertainment for the CM Team.

In case you don't know this already I'll tell you now.

I am not a wall of text poster, I don't always spell things correctly and I'm from the deep south.
I expect and demand a lot from my volunteer CM's and will not hesitate to crack down on them when they are wrong.
So don't expect me to hesitate with you.
I know there is a past history with you and the CM Team and that's exactly what it is "The Past".
Emailing a Special Event's CM about an Aces High Special Event makes it Special Event Business, therefore makes it my business.

You where suspended from the event for a period of time by the Team Lead of that event not banned as you say.
Suspended means your not allowed in the event for the suspension time.
Unless of course you decide to further disrupt said event, then it becomes a ban.
Banned means you will never be allowed  back in said event.

For a very long time I have watched you poke and prod the CM's of different event's because in your eyes their event
rules, writeup, historical references, aircraft references, matchups and so on where all wrong.
Well you are entitled to your opinion just as every one else is, but the poking and proding to try and start an
argument with a CM or the CM Team stops here and stops now.

Should you have a problem with a CM from this point forward you will address it with myself or whom ever the CM Team C.O.
may be at that time. Right now it's me.

Ok, expect a lot of PM's.

Who says I poke and prod to start an argument? I poke and prod to get them and everyone else thinking on the matter at hand t otry and maybe get it changed or altered in some way. Sure, I can be a bit more abrasive than needed and for that I apologize. But I dont start arguments on purpose. The designer generally gets defensive and doesnt answer the question or acknowledge the flaw I have mentioned.

This poking and prodding you speak of needs a concrete definition. Will you please PM me what I can and can not do when posting to a CM please? I want to be crystal clear at my limits so that this sort of thing does not happen. Please do not say "read the rules" or "you should know by now".  I was warned once by Michelle and she explained beautifully what to do and what not to do but I imagine her system has changed LOLZ, so Ill need a new explanation from the new CM CO please. If this is too much to ask, just ban me from the forums now because I am sure the next designer I criticize will see that it is done.

Thank you for your clarification and reasoning. And thank you for the future PM of clarification <S>

So what you are saying is a player cannot express his problems with setups?

You are making a rule for a single player because this player doesn't always agree with setups or rules in that setup?

Sounds like you change the rules around to get rid of players who don't agree with you or other CMs.

To me, it seems like a rule was made up along the way to see me suspended. I know the FSO CM Team wasn't involved with the decision making. Seems like a special situation came up and the FSO Team Lead saw an opportunity and struck. Granted I blatantly broke the forum rule however I wasnt on the forum. It was, what I thought, a personal and private email. But you say since it was to a CM about an event it is not personal, even though it is an email. I find that somewhat sketchy. I feel like a victim of oppression and tyranny. Warloc's decision was in fact tyrannical. If I thought that what I said to Shifty, in an email mind you, would get me suspended I wouldn't have said it. I WOULD NEVER say that on this BBS. EVER. But a personal email? Why not. "They can't say anything about what I email to people" was exactly my thought. As I said earlier, I am not looking for a pardon. I am simply asking questions. And according to you midi, I cant do that any more because it is considered either poking or prodding a CM. And that is grounds for suspension? I am a little confused on the poking/prodding thing and I will need an explanation if you please. This is merely a discussion, I dont want any blood boiling.

Perd, you've been stirring up crap in this forum for a long time and have made it clear you really don't like anything about FSO and publically try to pick fights for months on end....

And you wonder why you were banned?
