Is the GV icon range ofr friendlies the same as for enemy? If not, I vote for shortening the icon range on friendly Whirbs and GVs instead. That would elimnate the advantage of being able to drag bad guys to invisible whirbles.
You should remove Karnak from your ignore filter.
Then Bob in his fighter shouldn't know exactly where his friendly flaks are either. The problem is not really the flaks so much as flaks being used unrealistically to clear one's six because you know where he is from 6000 yards out and your enemy won't see him until he is within 600 yards.
Doesn't really solve the problem though as planes are easy to see against the sky.I stand by my position that the icon ranges are fine, but friendly GV icons need the same treatment. Hans in his Bf109 would not know there was a friendly Wirbelwind 5.5k yards away bearing exactly 243 degrees. We've stopped Frank in his P-47 from knowing that, but Hans still has Gunter's position down pat and can lead Frank to him.
I've given up on hunting tanks with the IL2 or Ju87G2 as an entertaining part of the game. Toting bombs out to dive bomb tanks is a snore because of the time needed to get to an alt that the wirbels or the T34 skeet shooters can't pick you off while you find them and setup for your attack.
