East coast snowboarding.

I'm a Cali boy so the biggest slope if hit is mammoth but any good places to go around Virginia? I like to just throw caution into the wind, and haul bellybutton down hills. I'm goona be living there starting janurary

I live in Vermont, and got like 4 ski resorts within an hour of me, lol ditch the board and buy a sled  :aok

Vermont is the place to go. Biggest place I have close to me is Gore Mountain, but Whiteface is a nice getaway up in Lake Placid.

I am not a skier, but these three are pretty decent I'm told.  Snowshoe and Wintergreen probably having the edge.  I did ski at The Homestead many years ago, but I doubt I could give ya much information about the accommodations.  I was too busy falling down.   :lol

Come onout. But make sure you sharpen your edges, you'll need them. Oh, and stay away from Mad River Glen. Some of the most incredible skiing in the east. But no boards allowed. The single chair is a rush.

What!? That ain't cool. And I prefer mine unsharpened. Im 6'1 and 220 lbs and I use a 53 inch board :D

You definitely need sharper edges on the east. There is no snow on Eastern Mountains, only ice. I learned how to ski when I lived on the east coast, and started boarding when I moved to California.
