There isn't anything wrong with the map mountains are just fine its a characteristic of this map like other map have there certain characteristics about them that make them what they are.
There is nothing wrong with 30k mountains -
unless they are set up like a wall at the initial front lines of the map. That and having most of the bordering bases separated by a rather wide ocean causes a very narrow, stalemate-inducing front line.
Bases should be easier to attack at first and then get progressively more difficult as an enemy plows deeper into conquered territory. Trinity does the opposite and the end result is stagnation and few options for a fight that doesn't involve a 20 minute trek to get there. If you like to spend more time climbing than fighting, then maybe the map is just fine.
