How to communicate in the DA
« on: May 06, 2013, 12:39:41 AM »
I've visited the DA during U.S. prime time evenings at least 20 times looking to duel some of the folks who help noobs.  But I've texted and used vox and never a reply.  Just assumed they were busy fighting someone else.

Is there a way to text to everyone something like "Anybody want to duel?"  Not sure I'm communicating right in the DA...maybe no one is hearing me or seeing my texts?  Do I use country radio, game id radio, vox...?

Thanks!

For some reason LWMA uses channel 200, while others utilize channel 1 to talk cross country open channel.

Not sure why.

Select ALL in your radio bar and type on that channel

the training arena is where you'll find people who help noobs as you put it. Often there will be a trainer to fight and work with you to point out what your doing wrong. Or you could just post in the trainers thread and ask for some time with one.

As for communicating in the DA, as long as your on the ALL channel your doing it right. Most people in there however just fight over the lake. Jump in and attack if your looking for a fight.

Thanks for the info everyone.  I have been working with Jager in the TA on a weekly basis who has been very helpful.  He is an excellent trainer.  Was just looking for more pure 1v1 dogfighting time in the DA to also help me develop my skills.  :salute

Because channel 1 is disabled in that (all?) MA(s).  :)

My question would be why would all the arenas use 200 to be consistent?   I guess I'm just lazy, but don't want to have to update my radio bar in each arena.

They changed it to 200 in the mains so that those that tune to it do so under their own choice. This way you can't complain about what's on it.

We (HTC) did not change it.  We disabled the "All" channel in the "Late War" arena due to it being an impediment to having fun in the arenas.

The community decided to use 200 to get around it.
