Even though a real stretch the Grumman F7F Tigercat.  I know, it never saw combat in WW2.

he was referring to his desire for the f7f...which deserves a big NO.

I disagree. I think the F7F deserves atleast to be on a vote. however it does fit the "was in service" that HiTech wants. it entered into service with the USMC in mid to late 44 and didnt get to a squadron till 45, and is known to have been in route to okinawa from iwo jima the day the japanese surrendered. I know alot of people still want it to be "Oh it had to have kills", or "it must have been in cobat". the fact still remains it is Hitech Choice in the end.

As for the P-61. It gets a +1.000.000.000.000.000.000.000.000 from me.

Beaufighter before either F7F or P61.

Not really interested in a main arena full of late war monsters that flew for 1% of the war when there are planes not yet included that had a much larger impact and flew 400 times as many missions.

So you two don't want to include a 1944 aircraft that "flew in 1% of the war"?  Since WW2 ended in late summer/early fall 1945, I'd say
ypur math needs work.  +1 for the P-61, just for the gee whiz factor.  All new planes are a good thing, period.

I've read that the P-61 was more maneuverable than any other AAF fighter...
