Actually kinda like Krusty vrs. Schlowey here.  Only when two idiots act like idiots...it's not that surprising, but when two intelligent men act like this...well...it's a bit tiresome.

The Mighty Stampf has spoken. When you are compared to Krusty vs. Schlowy, it is time to hang it up. Believe it or not, I am trying to make progress. It's not working :(

Funny, that's pretty much what I was thinking as my "Avenger of Invincibility" plummeted at "warp speed"  :uhoh into the tracer-riddled vortex of enemy and allied aircraft over the IJN flattop those last two frames of last FSO. And I was right.

Here's a lil snapshot of last frame, immediately prior to my demise: (the tracer round you see passing under my left elevator is from Devil505)

Meant to say earlier .... nice pic!  :)

Nothing mighty here.  Quite the opposite, considering from everything I have tallied, you are the single most all time victorious pilot in FSO out of those who are currently active.  You're the kommander of 2012's top killing squad in FSO.  KN has an excellent FSO record...and most importantly...your men love you.  That alone is enough for me...throw the stats aside.

Quibbling is beneath you.

You can tell me to go squat or stick it in my arse, Scoob...no worries there.   Sometimes it's better to swim off with a sore lip and half a worm...then end up in the live well.  Just something to consider.

We never had nor ever will have a chance in this setup. Rightfully so? Maybe.

You may be right, even with 35 more Zekes than allowed in frame 2, and a 3 to 1 superiority in fighters alone. The IJN couldn't pull off a victory.

My own, personal, totally unofficial opinion:

Early-war PTO special events will rarely, if ever, produce "historical" outcomes.  Two major factors in the phenomenal Real Life successes of the IJN and IJA air forces were 1.) overwhelming local numerical superiority and 2.) Allied lack of technical intelligence on Japanese aircraft led to the use of inappropriate WWI-style dogfighting tactics.  Here in FSO we try to set up a fight that is more or less even.  And all the FSO Allied pilots know better than to try Angles Tactics against a Zero or Oscar.

I dunno. It had to be the equipment quality disparity. Or it had to be history. Maybe AH models the fuel octane.
And the CMs probably got it in for the Axis players. Anything but what it probably was. I never get tired of hearing that

... over and over.  :)
