Whos got em and whats your setup?

I personally have a 55 gal African Cichlid tank just set it up last year. I just got done fighting off an alge bloom will post pics later.
2 Bumblebees
2 Yellow labs
4 Cobalt Zebras
1 Peacock mutt of some kind
1 Maingano
2 red zebras
1 Clown Pleco
1 Common Pleco.
2 Demonsi

So far they get along ok gave them plenty of rock to hide in. I will probably dump one of my Bumblebees off on my brother at some point when they get equal in size. Only casualties due to aggression has been a featherfin cat and a African leaf fish(both were free)

My family had a 10 gallon tank.

We had 1 feeder fish which ends up growing 4 inches wide, 7 forms of small fish(3 were eaten by the gold)
4 african dwarf frog(gold fish ate 1) several fancy gold fish. The bottom feeder(forget what the name of it is)

at one point we also had a small green pufferfish, died after 3 weeks.

we had a 1 gallon vase with a water plant in it. We had a beta in that tank. Used to have the African fogs but he kept eating/killing them :furious

we got a snapping turtle that was about the size of a quarter when I caught him, he is now about the size of my hand, he lives in a 75 gallon tank that is separated between water and rocks but I think I am going to make it all water.  In 2 years he has never gotten out of the water to bask in a light.  We have a bloody parrot fish in a 45 gallon that is completely anti-social.  I have seen them with other fish in stores, but not this guy, he kills everything.  here is my turtle

will get a pic of the other fish later.  Also have a 6' bull snake that I have had for about 18 years.  He was about the size of a cigarette when I got him.

That's a nice turtle tank. Yeah Blood Parrots are hyper aggressive, I think  they are south American cichlid hybrids. I'm surprised I haven't had any problems with my Bumblebee's yet.

I'm actually thinking of setting up another tank with some fish commonly found in GA, have to do more homework on native tanks tho don't think going out and catching a shellcracker, or a bluegill would work lol defiantly cant throw a bullhead in unless I get a BIG BIG tank.

when I was a kid I had a bullhead for several years, he was about 14" long and had him in a 55 gallon tank.  I had a similar setup with some native minnows in a 10 gallon tank.  will  have to see if I can find any pics of my folks old aquarium.  we had always had BIG fish when I was a kid, had a tiger shovel-nose catfish that was about 3 feet long, and when he died they got a redtail catfish, had him for many years he was about 2 feet long and probably 20 lbs when he died.  their tank was like a 175 gallon

Aquariums? hmm... Well, I won a goldfish at the state fair one time, brought him home, but when I woke up the next morning all that was left was a fin, and my cat licking his lips.   :cry

Had a 16 gallon tank had to wait until all the fish died off before I went to college.  Will see if I have any pics around here.  It had a crashed spitfire in the bottom.  Had this little catfish that would hang out there.

I had a bullhead catfish in a 55 gal. When I caught it in a minnow trap it was about 2". It lived for 8 years and grew to 10". His or her name was Grendal. For the last 5 years it shared the tank with an African knife fish. They got along fine. Both ate earthworm from my hand. Grendal r.I.p. in the garden.

The best way is to check with the local Distributors and find out which fish are expressly in the GA area..  They may even have tanks for sale cheaper than the stores carry . I bought all my tanks from Distributors!

I have a 55 gallon that I keep lobster in.

They never seem to last too long, however...
