It all just prolongs our energy dependent agony. Like a poster said it does nothing to reduce our prices at the pumps, which is manipulated by business. We will continue to buy our big trucks and what not, paying thru the nose for energy. Big oil has far to much power in our own Govt.'s, enough to prompt an illegal war on Libya and depose a leader without ANY UN authorization or ANY threat to NATO. Or does anyone truly think Libya was a military threat to NATO?

Or Serbia?
And heres another interesting tidbit for those who think we illegally bombed the Serbs over human rights. Kosovo is absolutely loaded with lead, zinc, cadmium, gold, silver, and coal. Most of all the Trepca mine complex region. NATO didnt go into there to stop killing. We went in for mineral resources. Rwanda, on the other hand, is a mostly agrarian economy and has very few resources of any kind. See the picture?
Hey Im a big boy, I can understand that interruptions to resources can crush and economy and cause as much damage as an actual attack. All I ask however is to keep it real. Im glad the Brits have their Mitts on this oil. At least it means we will probably never have to go to war over it. The Spratley region however is different. The wars of the future will be over the earths resources. Not a pleasant thought.
