Easy Mode Planes

I saw a movie a while back with John Wayne flying a P40.  He made it look real easy.  Seems they shot down every enemy plane they saw.

I started flying the P-40N in the last few days and I must admit, it doesn't get the credit it deserves! It has "Wep", 6, .50cal guns and will turn with anything in the game! Have seen 475 in dive with no ill effects, so I plan on using it more and more.

I completely disagree with what is in Red......

awesome looking bird....but for fighting....blaaaaaaaa can you say....dogpoop.....

I've always thought of it as a ticking time bomb.   It's great if you can get the kill while there's fuse left.

I love the P40's...... love the look of them....always have since I was a little kid.....by far the toughest looking WW2 birds to me.....especially when you add the Flying tigers colors ....but man I wish they fought as well as they look ..... I would not fly anything else.....

you haven't tried to turn against zekes or spit5s...the p-40s were known to be poor turn fighters.

Certainly can't out turn zekes and the Spit5 is probably a stretch,  but it's a hoot to run into a lazy spit16 pilot.   

That's probably what I like the most about flying the P40.  Nobody underestimates a 38, but a whole lot of people look past the P40.
