Wow, this is highly appreciated guys.  :salute Thank you all very much for giving your votes, I am almost certain we've bagged this trip allready. Can't see anyone else having a 3 digit vote number..
I am not sure how long this voting is running, I know the trip is in the beginning of September.
So I am glad we have this good headstart on the numbers, just in case someone else start gathering votes in a hard manner the last second..  :P

138 votes so far.

Maybe I can proudly tell I have set foot on American soil in the near future..  :rock
You have no idea guys how long I've dreamt of just that, it goes back all the way to when I was a kid.

Even though I am not a big city person, and would rather set foot on some Nevada desert soil or sit on the edge of Grand Canyon just taking it all in. In a historically perspective New York is afterall the place most Norwegian immigrants set foot in the US for the first time, and many of them settled just there back in the old days. And besides, I've never in my life seen a building nearly as tall as most of the New York buildings, so my neck will probably be sour after this if we win. Just have to look up..  :P

My wife's greatest fear is however my passion for American cars, she's afraid she will have to drag me along the sidewalk because I just want to see every car that passes.  :lol

I'm not saying I'm not gonna look at the cars, but I guess there is not that many old school muscle cars of the 60's and 70's driving around so she'll just have to bare with me if there should come one or two along..  :D

Wow, I talk like we have won the trip allready. I better calm down..  :noid

You may be surprised about the cars you see in NYC. Every time I am in the City I see a car that is unique and special, you will definitely see many other unique and special things besides cars!

I really hope so. I know there is a humungus mix of people and characters in NYC, nothing like we got over here. I still get amazed about all the different kind of people and weird things everytime I visit Oslo, and Oslo is like a back alley compared to NYC..  :P

This is really exiting, seeing how the votes grow steadily each day that passes now. I really don't know if there might be someone out there that has more votes, but I keep my fingers crossed we get selected to win this trip. Just being able to say "I've been to America" is a big achievment in my book.  :rock

A big thanks again to all of you that has given your vote to us!  :salute

193 votes, and one week left of the voting. That is actually very good, I am very exited to see if we hear anything after the 16. of August. Crossing fingers and toes here.  :pray

Still hoping there might be someone out there that have facebook reading this, and would go into the link in the first post and find the LIKE button there if they have not allready done it.  ;)
It would be great to get to 200 likes before the contest ends.

But in any case, we got more votes than I dared to hope for in the beginning so I am very satisfied with the 193 we got.  :aok
I will come back here and give an update as soon as I know if we did or did not get the trip to New York.

Thanks again to all of you that have given your votes! <S>  :salute

The contest is over and the winners have been picked, and I promised to inform you guys how it went. Well, me and my wife were not among the winners so there will be no New York travel for us this time.   :frown:

But once again, thanks to all of you that helped out by giving your votes. I am not sure if they even counted votes in this contest, or if they just picked randomly. It was exiting while it went on anyway.

Yeah, thanks xbrit.  :salute
But me and my wife have agreed to save up for a trip "over there" a bit later on, we made that agreement as our own consolation if we did not win this trip. The benefits of that is we can choose our own destination and what to do, my guess is New York is not going to be the first choice. I'd much rather travel the Nevada desert before Wall Street or Bronx if I may make the choice myself..  :aok

Blessing in disguise. New York is fun for about 12 hours then damn irritating. Vegas now is a lot of fun but bring your sunscreen. Oh and all the hotels close to the grand canyon are terrable, look at the great pictures they have then google the reviews :rofl You would be better off camping and expecting to have it rough
(if you take your wife stay away from the bunny ranch) They don't have rabbits there ;)   Good luck sir and I hope you make it over here  :salute

Yea, New York City is a horrible place.  Shame you didn't win but honestly don't give NY a second thought.

How many votes would you have needed to win? Just thinking...
