Saitek X52 Pro Flight System.

It's a little expensive with the rudder pedals included (~$250), but I've had mine since January 2010 and it hasn't failed me since.

The one caution I'll give on the x52 is, if you've got heavy hands/tend to be hard on equipment, it may not stand up.  I've got a soft touch and mine's been good since 2007.  Only quibbles I have with it is a couple of the rotaries/sliders on the throttle are spiky most likely because I've been too lazy to open it up and clean them.  Other than that, it works just fine.

If I had the pennies, I'd go with a Warthog though.  YMMV.

If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

Adding the Pro Combat Flight Rudder Pedals by Saitek that list for $199:

...and yes, the whole package can have a hefty price tag ($433.99+$199.00 plus shipping, if not free).

I have squadies that are equipped with this and if I get around to building a pit, I'll probably do like-wise.

Other than that, my Saitek ST290 Pro ($28.00 used on Amazon) is on 5 plus years and still going strong.
I anticipate it will be my backup stick when I buy anything new.

like others have said...Saitek is only good for light handed people....

I went through 2 X52 and 3 cyborgs....in 2 years....1 cyborg literally broke in 1 day...from looking around... :rofl :rofl :rofl

CH is far more durable. 1 CH fighter stick for the last 3 years.

the Saitek peddles are good...although mine have come of track, so I had to open and fix 3 times (I believe)

Ink, do you have the standard Saitek pedals or the combat pedals?

Oh, and to answer the op's question the Thrustmaster T16000 stick seems to get good marks at a reasonable price. (around $50)

I used a CH Fighterstick for many years, and I had no problems with it. They can be found new for around $100.

I now use a Warthog, and it's a nice stick, but very expensive. They can be found for around $430.

I thought it looked like a CH base, but I wasn't familiar with the stick design.  :aok

Doesn't help it was bill/tax paying time :rofl

From what I understand, this is an old school design. But It's a basic  design and is cheap at $100
Had no other joystick.

IMO, it's also reasonably rage proof(short of it actually getting thrown),drunk proof, and easy to clean.
